Eastern Airways new Wick routes
Does anyone know if Eastern are hiring pilots for the new Wick / Aberdeen/ Inverness routes?
I understand it starts in February and an aircraft is to be based in Wick.

Have a look on their web site eastern airways
They have an email address for recruitment.
They're a highly professional company to work alongside, and I assume that this is reflected in their working practices.
I know that they get a lot of unsolicited applications, so make your CV a good 'un.

Caledonian -
The aircraft G-EEST was written off. AAIB report out in the December bulletin. An eye witness pilot at Wick said it was one of the worst cases of Pilot Induced Oscillation he has ever seen.
Finals to Land -
I have heard your opinion of Eastern from others more often than Nik Nak's unfortunately, but thanks to you both.

"did they ever manage to fix up the J31 that had a heavy landing in Wick, if memory serves me right it was G-EEST?"

Presume this is the accident from just over a year ago? If so, then no, it was a write-off and was ferried by road back to HUY.

With regard to G-EEST - damage was repairable but has not been repaired due to significant additional costs expected around now for avionics upgrades (presumably ACAS II (TCAS), Mode S, 8.33 Khz and EGPWS).
Fox Alpha - give Eastern a try if you do want to be based at Wick - I am sure that they would look seriously at a good application.

Eastern have only one J31 left (the executive configured one), rest are Super 31s (J32s) which have better payload range capabilities so I imagine these will be around for a while yet....
