Euromanx Information?
I would like to ask these questions:
When do the BRS and MAN services start?
Why did they axe there EMA service?
Is the GLA service doing good and will a BAE-146 be operated on the route or maybe a ATR-42?

All very well announcing that you plan to launch servies to Manchester, but have you got your slots?
Peak time slots are at a premium and, whilst a lot of the planned expansion for this coming summer will not materialise, there will still be a reasonable percentage increase in both movements and passenger numbers in comparision with Summer 2004.

Have Euromanx overstepped the mark a bit on Manchester? Media reports on the Island claim BA are putting over 40,000 seats for sale for just £45 return on Isle of Man to Manchester. Not only will that pull the rug from Euromanx on Man (or at least stir up a nasty fare war) but presumably will damage both Emerald and Euromanx on Liverpool.
Can a leased-in Dornier or ATR42 make money at those fares (around £5each way plus tax if my maths is correct...)?
Isle of Man - the low fares Island!

45000 seats on sale until the middle of the month. How many takers do you think there will be - even if the world got to hear about it. BACX will have to do a lot better than that if they hope to survive on the route.

There is a big difference in easyJet having applied for slots, and having been granted them.
I accept that they will have been given an offer, but probably at times that were quite unrealistic to operate - perhaps the reason why they have surrendered them.
Will those times be of any use to another airline?

This announcement had to be made as the decision to launch Manchester services was common knowledge on the rock and elsewhere. Slots therefore should not need to be applied for now.
BTW has the 146 been spotted in Euromanx colours yet?

Don't get me wrong, I admire what Euromanx are trying to do but I can't help but think that they are going about it in rather a self distructive way, look at the facts:
1. There is a very limited market on the Island 70,000.
2. Euromanx take on LCY after it has been given up by Flybe and then put a bigger more expensive less reliable aircraft on it (RJ planned).
3. Their expansion seems to be built around the RJ which is notorious for its reliability and operating costs.
4. Their announce a new route to MCR and BACX immediately undercut them on price ! (golden rule in the airline business,"don't get into a fight with someone who has deeper pockets then you have"
Good luck Euromanx I hope it works but I wish you had taken it alittle steadier.
Anyone like to take a little bet on weather we will ever see 2 RJ's in operation as promised ? or 1

I've just visited their website (address painted on the aircraft) and am amazed at how bad it is!! Whilst I have no doubt being based on IOM they get a lot of bookings through their website, one would have thought spending a few quid to spruce it up might have been a good idea, especially with its name plastered on the side of their jet. It must be the most neglected airline website around, with most of it outdated, the press area under construction (including the 2004 press releases) and a redirection required for adsl users. I'm sure changes will be demanded when the moguls behind the airline realise what a rubbish representation of their new(er) airline their website protrays.... C'mon, give a computer savvy 14-year-old a few quid or a years subscription to Viz and you'll be amazed at the difference in opinion a new website can make. Shiny aircraft do not make an airline (but come darn close!).
By the way, who will operate the jet for them - I notice the Irish registration - and will they then become a ticket provider for this airline too or have they finally succeeded in getting their UK licence from the CAA?

Rumour has it, that the 3 legs on the otherside of the aircraft have been painted the wrong way round - maybe that is why they keep delaying it.
Love the Eire reg on it, As MANX as The Hills Yessar.

He left last week and we have had to the drop the 'Keenair Heavy' call sign, and also the terminal cafe has gone bust.
Only joking, good luck with the job, Big Ian sends his regards.
