I thought helicopter pilots wear helmets for communications? I don't know what the fast-jet chaps use them for.

I'd agree about the aviation helmets I've seen not being a patch on biker's...

I'm pretty sure if I fix up dead GPS units I could re-sell them - no-one wants broken ones, but would people acctually want their old boxes repairing?

I think it's a bit sad that NDBs are going down the pan - I acctually like navigating on them.

Up here 'round Caernarfon EGCK we like using the radio wales transmitter (882Khz) as a bid NDB...Good...

I'm pretty good at repairing hi tech stuff like this and I have a lot of spare parts.

I'm willing to pay up to £25 for nonfunctional GPS units. Any age, condition or obselescence.

A friend of mine at the flying club was asking me about civilian fast jet training - I.E. Jet Provhost.

I seem to remember a few years ago, there was the "Fast Jet Flying Club" and was wondering...

I wonder what sort of protocol it uses? something like UDP is a good transmission protocol.

I'd be concerned that anyone with a good laptop...

Let's not forget that the "users online" is a 5 minute average synoptic of useage. That is to say; there might only be 5 requests at any one time going to the host machine.

There is sufficient fuel in the carb and fuel lines.

Carburettor engines have a problem with neg-G though. The Spitfire could not pull G above G-1 and this was a weakness exploted by ME109 chaps....

We have an Auster at Mona powered by a Lycoming O-320. So you don't need to use the inline btitish engines. But Lycomings are expensive too. How much do you want this?
