I have never flown in asia but i guess it is normal for whoever is flying the airplane...

as for me i was told on the phone that with 4.000 hours, lots of turbine and turbine pic ,i could not compete in the pool unless i had some jet time , ( early 40 ) .

getting that first float job is tought because the hight insurance requirements. its the old catch 22 . Most guys get there start in flying floats back in ontario flying for some lodge hauling...
