CX books

Any thoughts on the following books?

"Beyond Lion Rock" The one I found on the web is over 10 years old. Isn't there something a bit more up-to-date?

"Handling the Big Jets" Ditto. A bit long in the tooth. Anyone got a suggestion for something newer?

"Preparing for your Cathay Pacific Interview" by Captains X,Y and Z. Is this the book that everyone calls "The Cathay Interview Book"? Anybody have an opinion on this? Is it worth the time and money?

Thanks!

Definitely buy Handling the Big Jets if you want the answers to the questions in Preparing for your Cathay Pacific Interview.

the stuff from capt x,y and z was good, got about 90% of the questions of the first interview in it. Dont know f it's still current, but study it anyway...
HTBJ is a bit stale and if you can stay awake through it, you may get some use out of it, but it's rather outdated.
Good luck and break a leg,

My two cents.....

Beyond Lion Rock interesting and good to have a few of the little details - shows interest in where you are going.

Handling the Big Jets - if you get one book this better be it. Interviews were technical to this level, and much of the exact material is out of HBJ.

X,Y,Z - good overview to point you in the right direction, answers in HBJ among others.

Another book, Interview Questions Explained, Captain A,B,C is good as well, get it on a site called bookworm out of australia. The exact site and comments on the book are on pprune, that is where I found out about it.

Add the other standard met, reg, system and theory books.

Make use of the tech post on pprune and RR, Boeing, and Airbus sites.

Good luck,
