Like pretty much anything with Boeing it's a question of $$$ (e.g. MTOWs, MLWs) and if you pay more money they will certify it higher (or heavier).

I think they had an all female (tech and cabin) for the first time back in the early nineties on the 767.

There are quite a few around now. My first four trips had female tech crew (2nd officers)....
