Post How many off-days do Y O U have???? poll 2002

dear colleagues,. .. .we all know more or less how much money the different airlines are paying their pilots ( thanks to the great thread about that topic here at pprune), but do we all know how much we have to work for it ?? . .so to get us all more informed about that so important subject, i ask you to kindly share your knowledge with the rest of us.. .. .please note your off-days and vacation per year, fleet and type of operation.. .. .i start:. .. .cargolux. .744,freight(sheduled). .off days per year: 9 days in 13 rosters = 117 per year plus 42 vacation days . .= 159 days per year. .additionally we get a rest day after flights with a considerable time difference, but not when followed by off-days anyway.. .. .to add some political motivation :. .cargolux-management plans not to hire any new crews in 2002 regardless of a new aircraft arriving in fall due to "optimized" rostering of the existent personel...

Inop, why don't you join ALPL. I'm sure they'd be better able to help than PPRuNe.

easyJet. .. .6 on 3 off so anything between 9-12 days off a month. However one of those days can be a "flexiday", i.e. on the 6th day on they can work us til 3am on the 1st day off or at the end of our 3 days off we can go back to work before 6am.. .. .35 days leave plus 4 request days. Wrap around days too, a 7 day block with wrap around days = 12 days off.

For contract pilots you get 8-10 days per month + that you accumulate 2 vacation days per month for a 6 months contract. These 2 vacation days you could ask to be added to your monthly off days, and if the rostering officer understands that you`re not living permanently at your base of operation, he/she will give them to you, may be. But since we are living in a fast changing aviation world, things may have changed when the summer season kicks off.
