Don't shoot me please. But, if you have an ID still you could Jump to LHR or FRA or CDG then buy a ticket down to CAI. LHR-CAI $262 to $500ish RT.

I can understand this not working this time as the lead time to get the visa's was very short. Hopefully the next time they will plan this a few weeks in advance so folks can adjust their off days...
