hi Ed
you may think the 100 hours in 30 days is nothing much and that the average is just over 3 hrs a day...please remember this is flying hours...you could do 3 hours flying in a 14 hour duty day!!! This is where the fatigue plays a role. If you reach your hours then if poss will sit you in hotel until hours start coming off and they can use you again. If you are happy to fly and have no or very little standards ...then this is definately the job for you.

...well, i'm afraid i have to put that straight anyway:

I've had a good friend who used to work for NJME two years agao, and wanted to shuttle every mont back home to LAX, where his family lived at a nice nice beach ..

To shorten it up: It did not work at all!
Because the company wanted him to stay now and tem some days longer, or couldn't reached reach him, whe they needed him to do some extra work +hours or so ...
in the end, his contract was terminated after one year! Fact!
Apparently they don't like to pay for pilots, they can't access easily ... like syayin'at the other side of the globe for example. i guess ...

Edo,

Love to hear your impressions about NJME.

Can anyone give us an idea where the Gulfstream crews tend to go? I realize they can fly anywhere I suppose, but do the Gulfstreams "tend" to hit Europe, Southern Africa and Asia or do they spend most of their time flying throughout the Middle East (e.g., Dubai every other day)? What are the most frequent destinations for Gulfstream crews?

Cheers

Dalflyer,

The link that C17CHS provided and the associated detail on the interview process in very accurate. I've just done it and although dated, it is very reliable and factual info. Good luck in your ventures.
