RAF C17 has just flown up to the Faroe Islands, done a few circuits then come back home.

Don't think I've ever seen military movements there, nevermind the RAF.

Looks to me they were possibly manoeuvring the aircraft a little bit by hand rather than using a tug? Hence the lack of chocks, 6+ people surrounding the aircraft etc.

5 hours by road for the last leg of the cargo's journey is insignificant, it makes barely any difference whether it's offloaded...
