Dumb question time - at about 11:50 he talks about "Alpha" and "building Alpha". He points out that the "E" bar is used to display this in the HUD.

What is this "Alpha" that he mentions in a lot...

Anyone shed any light on what this character's doing? They seem to be a regular feature on FR24 - orbiting above Trawsfynydd Lake at about 20k.

It was known in fighter parlance as "The Polish Circus Trick". Seems the V1 gyro/compass guidance system had a pretty narrow design envelope (i.e. AOB greater than around 25deg was never envisaged)....
