When I was in my teens, I fly on an Aer Lingus 1-11 from Liverpool (Speke) to Dublin for my Uncles wedding. I think this was my first ever flight on a plane.

It looks like a track along the equator. So maybe a test of handling North/South latitudes crossing 0 degrees.

Thanks for that info. Was looking out the window while taxiing at STN to the terminal from an EDI flight on Monday and saw the "strange" colour scheme of a couple of FR 737s around the hangar area....

High over AFG

On a Virgin A340 flight from LHR to Mumbai last year I woke up to see the flight tracking display read 42,000ft as we were passing over Northern Afghanistan. Great view :)
