I was there shortly after we started staying there. For 24 hours the room service menu was ok....... being delivered to the "tradesman's entrance" was a bit demeaning!

Got to agree with STBYRUD.. why would you?? The ADIRU switch can also be turned off in flight without removing power (according to the FCOM) but why would you want to test the theory??

The 744 used to have the height/time restriction.

The 777 is easier to get your head around.... You can Go-Around right up to the point thrust reversers are deployed, beyond that you're landing.

A longhal command.... the $64m question.

Personally, I've been in 14 years and am conservatively at least 8 years (probably more like 10) from a L/H command. For those joining now, I'd have...

Locked Door,

Although I appreciate your comment I feel it is unfair to make such a statement on this thread. BA have finally admitted to having too few pilots, force draft was horrendous and...

Cynical?

In 1995 I paid £35000 up front for an ab-initio course. It took 3 years to find a job with a turbo-prop operator earning £16k (and that was one of the better ones).

Fast forward to 2012 and the...
