It seems that the politicians in WLG have chosen the C-130J to replace the old H models, possibly the stretched version.

Light Maintenance outdoors

Anyone have any experience of of carrying out LM outdoors? IE A checks on narrow body fleets without a hangar? Interested in temperate climates and not so much hot and sunny locations

I seem to remember this too..pity the RAF never used the acceleration check time graph in the #1#1. Everyone else on the planet seemed to use it but Lyneham seemed to know better...

APU utilisation versus flight hours

Anyone know what the average utilisation (hours) of the APU is on a 777 versus flight hours? IE 14 hrs/day flight utilisation versus 'x' hours on the APU?

I used my AIC qualification as a basis for a Cert Ed followed by a BA (hons)Ed and I agree about the governments view of teaching...The RAF/RNZAF standards are a lot higher.

Polished aluminium aircraft surfaces

Anyone know if the AA 767s are simply polished aluminium or have a protective coating applied after polishing? I'm assuming this is done to reduce profile drag and not just for aesthetic reasons.
