36 (Maintenance) Sqn.....

Don't really matter how many C-17's the RAAF have, maintenance run the Sqn and will always ensure a full fleet will never be possible, whilst ensuring all tasking revolves around maintenance crew...

Is it wise for the RAAF to operate C-17's without paper pubs?

Just wondering in the climate of Air Worthiness, is it wise for the ADF to operate the C-17 without any paper publications, given that the US and UK still do so. It appears a brave move to operate...

Whilst the engineers have a WGCDR in ALSPO that can dictate to the SQN the ADF WILL BE RUN BY ENGINEERS....Tail wagging dog syndrome in extremis!!!

So!! currently the 4 frames we have are NOT being fully utilised (fact-even with flood/cyclone/NZ assists), so we get a fifth, then we eventually pull out of Afghan, resulting in even more of a C-17...

There's always C-17s!!

Hercs and P3s are pretty busy, where as C-17s not so much, with a week away every month or two, and the odd overnight occasionally.
