What roster pattern does a 70%er have and how many hours will they fly?

In 2016 I believe most 737 pilots ( 100%er ) flew approx 550 - 600 hrs.
Is this likely to change in the coming years?

Go to University, get a good degree, get a career outside of piloting , and then fly for pleasure.

That is the way I have steered my son who starts at Uni tomorrow.
