Home every night ?

Hello people.

I don't want to complaint. And i don't want to cry here. But as a 737 pilot i am looking for a company that will let me sleep everynight at home.

I recently passed with ryanair and untill today i was happy, but i have heard that also in ryan you sleep out of base.

If you fly for ryan can u please tell me your experience and the base you are in?

I will be based in Dublin

Thanks

rare occasion

i have been there since august 2003.
first on a storm contract--and whilst on that, spent a week in HHN 3 separate times.

after going onto ryan contract- i have only been sent on single overnights 3 times. one in dublin, one in pisa, one in prestwick. had been on standby days and they positioned me to operate certain flights, or started in STN and took over a series of flights and terminated in another base after the last flight back.

and i have heard of others who had gone tech outstation and had to spend the night unplanned.

but no scheduled flight series which include overnights.

It all depends on your contract.
If you are employed by Ryanair, you will be home every night.
If you are a contractor, with a base, working 5 on 4 off, you will be home every night.
However, if you are a contractor on a 5 on 5 off floating basis, you will be rostered all over the network, one week at a time.

Home every night - why would you want that?

Cheers

P.S: if it's the Mrs. wanting you home very night, then she must be high-maintenance!

i do have tryed home employment for a long time.My father always gave me money for everything.I do this job not for the money but for passion.

I have been at home for 25 years without working and it really feels nice to have money and not working.
But now i work and i want the best conditions for the person i am.
So Ryan for me is the best company so far.

What about you?

I think that you need to just stay home so that mommy and daddy can change your diapers.

Have you ever considered a girlfriend?

Do you think that she will want to move in with the parents too?

Well ,since i just bought a F430 i really would like to be at home every night to play with it.
When i i go somewhere else i can't play with my baby.I really miss it so much.

So i still want to fly and in the same time enjoy my life.

If i can do this i have everything.
I live with my parents already since they pay for everything .
Why should i move?

Seriously?

You think that its normal to live with your parents all of your life? Do you have no interest in women? (or even men?)

Have you always been this way or did you ever have a life?

When I was in High School you couldn't keep me home. I was out with friends every night and a new girl every weekend. College came and it was even worse, my parents had to work hard to get me home! Why be home when there was all those women that wanted to get drunk and do other things every night?

So again are you serious? You cant leave home for even a night? Have you ever thought of sports?

This should be in Jet Blast, the way its going!
Ryaniar means home every night, barring unforseen diversion or out of time. Very rare indeed.

Well, i do bodybuilding and i need time to do that.
With ryanair i can do it no problem. With the company i work for, i can do it in a not professional way.
I sleep out 10-15 times per month and i don't like it.

I am just talking about what Ryan can offer to me.
I like to be a pilot and in the same time i would like to do whatever i want in my personal life.

At this point reading all the posts i understand that Ryan is a good thing for me.
I can't wait to start with them!!!

yes you will be home every night. but not for many hours.

On lates you usually arrive home sometime just past MIDNIGHT! the wife and kids will be sound asleep so you can rub your little F430 as hard as you like and no-one will know.

and then when on earlies you can expect to hear the sound of your alarm clock going off at 4am for 5 days in a row as you prepare yourself for another 11 hour 45 minute duty day . Must dash, its day 5 and i'm feeling fatigued.

yours yawningly,

It sounds nice to me!!!

Where i work i have 4-5 days off per month and when i come back from flights at night the day after i wake up at 4 and i start again.

5 days on and 4 off would be so nice.
I already smell the melt rubber on the road now
With 4 days off and a F430 i don't think it would be hard to find girls then...

Really wish the best to all of you

Pimo

You sound nothing like a serious pilot - more like a spoiled brat."

I answer:
I am serius very serius. When i do my job i do it at the maximium level.
I do it with an learning attitude every day.
But when i am out i am a normal person who just want to taste the beauty of this life.Like you.
But having fun doesn't define you as a not serius person or a brat.
I am just another lucky boy who(thanks God) was born in a family who could give him a lot.
I am an extremily generous person.I would say i spend more then half i make for everybody else.I pay 1200 euro a month for my mothers girl friend who has economical problems.I always pay dinners when i go out with friends.I really don't care about money. And above all i respect everybody and i don't judge.
Believe it or not i do all this not to show off but because i really like the happines of everybody and i put everything else underneath.
I have seen people more rich then me that when it comes to money they would die for them and other people with nothing giving it all.But this is a different story ,this is about the person you are.
Maybe i am a brat as you say but i try to help and be generous. In my personal life i just want to be happy and enjoy what God gives me.Maybe tomorrow all this will be gone but i really don't regret any of the things i did.
I hope you really understand me.

Well you saw my original post before I made the edit.
The comment I removed since it is not for me to judge.
But I just really wondered if you were serious - and now you tell that you are, so fine with me.
And as long as you have the right attitude when you are flying I don't care what you do when you are off duty.
So please if you are a generous guy - go waste some rubber on that F430
