Indeed. The Landor livery was the one that sticks in my mind more than anything as S.L.F. Times back then when you were given a newspaper and called Sir.

I actually prefer the current livery. Looks more polished and refined. The air hostesses, service and generally everything else was waaaay better back then though!

I agree with your second sentence (I remember one time being rushed by a BA hostie in a pencil skirt who deftly managed to get my boss and me onto a tight connection at LHR).

However, IMO the current livery is more of the "toothpaste tube" variety and I think the older one is much classier.

Was hoping they would tow Concorde round the corner to be in the photo, after them sprucing her up last week

Out of all of them I think the BEA one looks the best, followed by the other 320.

You cannot polish a turd and make it look any better. The A380 is the ugliest thing ever to take to the skies.

The BEA is gorgeous. Followed closely by the BOAC.

I was just back in blighty on a rare sunny Sunday driving on the M25 when the BOAC livery 747 took off to the West low over the road. I must admit it looked very smart and made me quite nostalgic. A rare PR hit for BA!

Why didn't they do one in B-Cal colors?.

Or Dan-Air, or Northeast, or Cambrian, or BKS, or the BEA Speedjack scheme, or BMI, or BMed, or BSAA, or ... ?

They ran out of tartan paint.

Plenty of oldies here (aircraft that is!):

Imperial Airways would be nice - bit bland but cheap though - just bare metal and a speed bird logo

Concerning the BOAC 744 , I saw a pic of her with a white nose ( white Radom) , I feel very upset about that .
can someone tell me how long she will keep this unsuitable white Radom . Thanks

How many 747s do BA have in their fleet now? I'm going to Vancouver and back next month and am wondering what the chance of being on one of these retro liveried ones is.
