H125 Private Ownership

A few questions on new H125's if I may to those in the know?

I am looking at a new ship (100-150 hours a year), private flying
  • CRFS - is this now installed as standard on European models?
  • Early models had tail rotor "issues" due to weights - now resolved?
  • Crash resistant seats in rear still not available - will they ever?
  • How often should you ground run to keep everything running smoothly? Once a week? Appreciate this will be in Ops Manual but I don't have one as I haven't bought the heli.
Any advice from existing owners on do's / dont's through the procurement process (options to avoid etc and options that are essential) is much much appreciated.

I have flown Bell products up to now so AB is all new to me.

CRFS is not standard till the end of 2018 or maybe 2019.
Never heard of tail rotor issue, of any kind.
Never will have crash resistant at the back.
All french engines needs weekly ground run, not optional if you are not flying.

Would that also apply to the Bell 505?

Many thanks Mee3 and the PM - have replied

CRFS - thats not good - does anybody know if the 120's or 130 come with CRFS either as standard or retrofit?

The following is the original tail rotor issue SB AS350-01.00.66 - I believe they moved from weights back to load compensator with one accident on new machine on the retrofit due to poor install 2014ish

Thanks for the advice re engines etc - really appreciate it

Wow! Why a weekly ground run? Is it in the maintenance system?

120 has crashworthy bladder tanks. 130 and 125 has the exact the same mid section and therefore same fuel system. Official SB will be available end of 2018 or early 2019.
Don't worry on a correction that has been closed 5 years ago.
It is best in its class if you need the power, and itself is a all round design.
Which build are they offering you? the 2018 with G500? make sure you get the GTX335r GTN750 combo for your ADS-B out.

2018 with G500 - GTN750 optional upgrade. I am looking at Traffic Awareness option and pop-out floats - great advice re the 750 combo for ADS

Are the yearly models so dramatically different? ie if I wait for the 2019 model is it likely to change hugely?

Clarification:

EC-130T2 has EC27 CRFS and energy absorbing seats.

Airbus Helicopters issued modification AS-350 B3e MOD 07 5606, which restored the tail rotor dynamic load level similar to that on helicopters pre MOD 07 5601, per EASA AD.
