Smile Zero zero's

Nil HIGE!! Yep that's on the edge for an ATO and I can't say I don't or haven't employed the same method at altitude, but what you have here is a committed landing with no options, something that you don't do if you are flying a twin as if you fly it like a single then you may as well be in a single. This is part of the shift in culture that all single drivers have a problem with when they get the chance at a medium twin such as a 212. Anyway I know it's a Jetty but the no option thing is not a good culture to be in for any type of flying.

Cheers mate

Angel loads of coffee please

Namaste Jungledog

Here in the extremes we have; it is nice to plan HIGE & we do, but then the conditions change when You get there & You have HOGE on arrival but then next time again the conditions change so much that your so far less than HIGE You gotta drop something off down the valley So basically this is no environment for those lacking in experience & not knowing their machine There are NO twins that will work at these ultra high altitudes & DA's so singles are it....in fact only 1 at super high altitudes the AS350B3 As for plan B go-around options hmmmmm try going into the Western Khumb a dead end valley with 27,000' to 29,000' mountains surrounding You on 3 sides, it's one way in & the same way out with no go-around options & no HIGE landings around 23,000'+ every time done only to save a Life

VF,

Two things.

a) you know that every heli pilot that looks at your pics wants to be doing YOUR flying ! (OK, maybe not all, but certainly me).

b) I am coming to your neck of the woods late this year...and I will be in touch so you can take me flying (and, yep, I'll pay + beers !).

All the best,

Arrrj

VF,

You have an amazing view of the world and living where you do would be a great eye opener, I have spent 30 years (on / off) working in Asia and love it.

As I said a (long) time ago...you should publish your pics and the stories for the world to see. A best seller !

Arrrj

PS - I have a mate who just started doing twins, and he say he loves it, but I don't think so...he used to fly 350's in "challenging conditions".
