Are you flying in AFG?

Are you flying in the military or civil?

Nice Pics!

Vaqueroaero's ship .. from the outside!

VA, is 120kts pretty much standard cruise for the 407 or can one squeeze a little more out of her?

Sav, 135kts is doable though then you are right up on VNE.

Vaq, nice GX. How do you like the G1000?

At first I'll admit I thought it was complete overkill for a VFR ship, but having used it I am somewhat of a convert. It is easy to use - if you can use any Garmin product you can figure this out.

This aircraft has a two axis autopilot, so someone had to have their feet on the pedals at all times. It makes a ferry flight very much more relaxed. We were heavy on this trip and could easily have made Vne, but decided on a more leisurely pace.

zlocko2002 nice pics.

If the locals ever started playing nicely and earning some tourist $ I would like to visit. Shame that won't happen.

For those who are getting hot under the collar about photos posted here I did (and will continue to) delete off topic rants where a guess of the flying conditions by someone who wasn't there and doesn't know, seems to justify a holier than thou rant based purely on those assumptions. The photos posted here are two dimensional, and show nothing of the view behind, below or to the sides of the camera: remember that when viewing them, and enjoy them for what they are.

This is the most successful thread on PPRuNe, and they are our photos of what we do and see from the cockpit. Anyone is welcome to post their photos here without the need to justify what/where/how, for us all to enjoy

I think a "RATW" book is a fantastic idea. I really enjoy seeing all the different places and machines.

North Eastern BC Old Energy - Natural gas pipeline construction

NE BC New Energy - Dokie Wind Farm. Perhaps one day powering the new electric helicopter?

Few years back on the Zaca Lake fire in central California...

Photos by my boss at the time, but I was on board the helicopter doing the tech work that I do. This was part of a NatGeo story on drought.

Hi Uniformkilo:
A CHC Bell 212 in Chittagong on an offshore contract 1999.
I believe that the pilot completing the DI is Shannon MacMullen.
Shannon is now with a company in Baku.

I have heard many interesting stories of the trials and tribulations of the crews based there. Not a "tropical paradise" posting.

Hope that helps

Hello

Great forum you guys have here. I thought I'd make my first post one with some sort of contribution.

Hills of West Virginia.

I have a few others. This thread isn't only for views from the cockpit right?

agodesign,
I've edited to insert your photos, but maybe you would also edit to tell us what and where they were taken?

Thanks

Yes, most enjoyable Ago.

Temsco are of course one of North America's 'legacy' helicopter operators and the efforts of Ken Eichner are right up there along with Carl Brady (Era), Carl Agar (Okanagan), Bob Suggs (PHi) and several others. You are with good people!

Is the Ecureuil being 'commanded' from the LHS or it is someone 'having a go?'

What please is the cable (and appendage) attached to the cyclic?

I agree good people, I am glad to have flown for TEMSCO.

Is the Ecureuil being 'commanded' from the LHS or it is someone 'having a go?'

Yup most TEMSCO birds are setup LH drive, I was just along for ride.

What please is the cable (and appendage) attached to the cyclic?

That is the handle for the pop out floats. One of the ones you hope to never have to use.
