Lovely photos, Phoinix - I'm jealous of your opportunities for flying in proper mountains! Interesting viewpoint above the river in the last pic, especially when you look at the wires crossing the river below the B206 in the "Traffic Police" picture.

I'm sorry to say, but it's down to the pilot to decide. Most of our pilots are fashion experts and they don't wear helmets. However a few of us do when given the opportunity.

The Shadow
whoateallthepies.....
....in studying the photo carefully it is the shadow of the next blade..... which disappears off screen to the right.......which is cast on the ground.....
..I do agree that it is probably the scanning technique used in digital cameras which produces the effect.....
..great photos on this thread......
