Lovely photos, Phoinix - I'm jealous of your opportunities for flying in proper mountains! Interesting viewpoint above the river in the last pic, especially when you look at the wires crossing the river below the B206 in the "Traffic Police" picture.

Are you given the option of wearing helmets instead of headsets?

I'm sorry to say, but it's down to the pilot to decide. Most of our pilots are fashion experts and they don't wear helmets. However a few of us do when given the opportunity.

If any of the AA pilots (G-BZRS/G-LNCT/G-KSSH) who were at Dunsfold wish higher resolution photographs then feel free to PM (I've got some more that I've not posted).

I just love the "Bendy Blade" effect!

And why does the shadow bend the other way?

bendy

it appears to be 'writing' the image from the top down, follow this logic and it will be evident....

The Shadow

whoateallthepies.....
VIP EC225 at Masirah..I just love the "Bendy Blade" effect
....in studying the photo carefully it is the shadow of the next blade..... which disappears off screen to the right.......which is cast on the ground.....
..I do agree that it is probably the scanning technique used in digital cameras which produces the effect.....
..great photos on this thread......

RC..
