GHEMS back in Cumbria AA

Hi Heliport, GHEMS was shipped from Barbados back to PDG in Inverness in 2005 and now used to great effect as 'Pride of Cumbria' air ambulance based at Langwathby in Cumbria. Does around 500 tasks / year under contract running until 2010. Nice smooth beastie with bags of history.

The problem with driving all the time is you always seem to get more shots of your chariot when it's parked.

The photo of the Jet Ranger, I notice there are no flap restraint bunny ears.

Is this a mod? I have not seen a Jettie without the two ears.

That's an old machine, s/n 712, converted from an A to B model. I can't remember exactly when the droop restraints were introduced, but I believe it was somewhere around s/n 1200.

If you look close you'll see she has got an old style dash as well.

Not me in this photo but the dream machine I flew on my trip to Zambia in '05... I see it is now registered as N62774 owned by Cessna Finance Corp. Will pick up some photo's from the trip in April.

Some shots from a trip down to the Avalon Airshow last week, the aircraft is the EC135 depicted a few posts ago by VH-XXX.

Enroute

Toilet stop!

Fire scars from the recent bushfires that claimed the lives of 200 people. It's hard to imagine the scale of these fires without flying over them.

Levo, see below for a link to their website. I hadn't seen one before the airshow. The engine is mounted vertically, Bell 47 style. Not a great deal of info on the website unfortunately.
