Helipad in Poole?

Thanks airborne_artist, although looking on Google maps there doesn't seem to be anywhere to land.
I'm ideally after some open ground in a less built up area.

It occurred to me that they may have had RW visitors before, and have a suggestion/tame land-owner.

The farmer opposite The Warren will let you land in one of his top fields. He normally wants £50 though. If you don't know the area I can give you more details. I have used it a few times this year.

Addiston or Leith

Noted your message from last year flying up to Edinburgh. I have to travel to Edinburgh often and thought I'd take our R22 up from Durham Tees Valley.

Leith presumably is costly and doesn't have AVGAS I don't think. Did you end up going to Addiston or Leith?

Hotel opposite EDI Airport or East Fortune was used. You could try both of the Marriott Hotels

Rosyth HLS

Hi all,

Does anyone know of an HLS (suitable for a Class 1 twin) near Rosyth in Scotland, ideally within 5 miles of the dockyards?

Any recommendations in the NE US? Looking to take Mrs B somewhere for a week-end, doing multiple stops.

Even some nice lunch recommendations within reasonable hop from NYC appreciated...

Apart from the one on the pier used by the air ambulance, the only one I have ever found there is at Inverlochy Castle hotel.

I can give you access to a field on the N shore of Lock Garry, but that's just under 30 miles from FW

Two Good Ones

Lower Slaughter Manor at, unsurprisingly, Lower Slaughter in the Cotswolds and Morley Hayes Hotel and Golf Club near Ilkeston Derbys.
Both no fees for landing, good food and hospitality.

Fort William HLS

John R81 - Thanks for the offer, but that site is a bit too far away.

Muffin - Inverlochy Castle was the only one I could find too, but last time I spoke to them they said that use of the HLS was only for guests staying at the castle... I only need a landing site for a few hours for a meeting, but perhaps if we stay for lunch they will allow us to use the pad.

Helipad nr blackwall tunnel

i think i brought this up a while back and no one really knew, saw it again today and thought i'd try again.

There is a distinct H near the blackwall tunnel behind O'Keefe Civil Engineering's office. Does anyone know anything about this pad?

Try the Priory Bay Hotel. Excellent restaurant with outside terrace and has it's own beach for a paddle afterwards! You land on the golf course just down from the hotel.
