Icelandic coast guard, hoisting injured sailor from Russian freight ship in heavy seas

I have no clue why the video is posted twice... I only put it in once

Because you inserted the url into the YouTube link. Either post the url as it is, or put the string after = in the YouTube link. One or the other!

Two helos, for mutual cover I assume? Nice shots, not a pretty deck though! I bet you were glad it was daylight

Job well done.

Pas.

@Davy07 - Thanks for losing me 5 minutes of my life watching a Chinook Start ! the last 20 seconds of lift and depart were hardly worth the wait !

I wonder if anyone else flinched when he changed mags with the weapon raised, pointing up into the disc

Thumbs down

Helicopter and guns - if you´re not in the military - how stupid to play around with them.
Not only pointed the gunner into the disk, he fired without a shellbag.
I know from trials, where the gunner was unhappy with the shellbag, and fired without.
After landiing it was discovered, that a shell went into the rotor disk, was accelerated by a blade and made subsequent a hand sized hole in the tailfin....
The blade had to be changed, cause a sharp end of the shell was hitting the blade - damaging the leading edge - and the fin had to be repaired, too.
Different angle - and you start to shoot down yourself.

Just plain stupid.

Trento Province Fire Department AS350B3 Ecureuil I-TNAA off to work in the falling snow.

Elapsed time from light-up to lift-off .. 56 secs. One also has to enjoy the puff of smoke coughed-up by the Arriel at 0:03 secs.

SE-WAL,

Nice modification on the 500. No U/C fairings!

Hell of a stick shake as well - no track and balance gear in .se?

Bell 47

Look for the differences in the early 47's. Work in progress?

What a great find! I assume it was the stiff headwind that prevented VRS in the approach at 2.26...
