A few videos made by myself and fellow students back in 2004 during training over Vancouver Island, Canada.

First one is just training:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koiMLjJm-ac

Second is flight training, working as ground crew, then flying the S61 & S76. (and no I didn't roll the R22 shown in the beginning)

Sympathise with what? With not looking upwards when lifting vertically?

And then trying to blame his c0ck-up on his passenger???

of course, fair point he shouldn't have done it, should have seen it. But he must have felt terrible, 4PAX, luckily no one hurt! Even the people watching, with all debris flying around!

This post seems to have auto-edit so I'll finish off the job.

Wow that 44 video was something I bet the pilot wished that the camera was not filming that day.

I was also quite concerned to see his loadie walk to and from the machine standing tall as the rotors engaged. Not a GOOD habit.

... I've watched this video a couple of times and it just beggars belief ... but the part that really makes me crease up is the comment 'guess the flights over man". That has to be one of the most understated comments I've ever heard.

The pilot stated that after completing the normal start-up and pre-flight procedures, he established that the area was clear and picked up into a 6 - 8 foot hover. He reported that he began to move away from the hangar. He stated that as he did so the passenger in the left front seat turned to his right and "accidentally and inadvertently hit or bumped the counterweight portion of the cyclic as he turned."

The pilot stated that the helicopter drifted toward the open hangar door and before he could correct the drift the main rotor clipped the bottom edge of the door. He recalled: "I quickly maneuvered away from the hangar building and began to level the aircraft." The helicopter descended to the ramp. The subsequent hard landing caused the skids to collapse and the main rotor to sever the tail boom.

A ground witness to the accident submitted a video recording of the accident flight. Review of the recording revealed that after the helicopter lifted-off, it paused in a hover for a few seconds and then began to climb out, subsequently contacting the door. No drift toward the hangar building was observed prior to rotor blade contact with the door.

Not sure, but all-in-all, there are three Flying Bull BO-105 Aerobatic Helicopters, the one in the above video being the CBS version in the U.S.

Did not know they would let you land on a dock on the river. Great place in the summer and especially spring break. I really like the river north of Havasu.
