Great show but if you want to see nuts, have a look at about the 1:28 and 2:20 marks in this video, that's not what I ever want to see or experience in a helicopter!

I would donate a random body part to go for a ride with that guy, let alone FLY a 105. I've spent way too many hours on YouTube watching "helicopter porn" involving the 105. Karl Zimmerman is my hero.

Cool

Mi-14s of Polish Navy:

YouTube - Mi-14 - 29 eskadra lotnicza

Only few left around the world, mainly due to "short" lifespan - they are limited to 28 years for SAR, and 32 for ASW versions.

I dunno....
UAV's with weapons....
There would have to be a stack of fail safes built in so any malfunction of any types will lock out and disarm the weapons.

I am not convinced this is a brilliant idea.
We have friendy fire with humans involved, I am not sure taking us out is a good one.

my $.02.

PLease explain

with regards to the red bull helicopter aero's.

How does the tail boom stay on?

I I have looked at lots of different tail booms & how they mount & I am a little concerned that the stresses that they are put though that THIS sort of flying doesnt snap if off.

Does the heli get stripped after this display and rebuilt?Ever seen that CH-53 vid where it is doing a sling load and the vibrations shake it off?

I am not against aeros in helis I think they are great...I just like to understand how things are designed so that I have faith in them.

It's a case of limits and trust ...kinda.
