Sorry gents, it was DEFINITELY a Bell Test Bed.

- The gent being interviewed in the clip is Arthur Young, the 'father' of Bell Helicopters:

- The test machine only had a 2 bladed head. Sikorsky aircraft at the time (ie the R-4) had 3 bladed heads:

- The test bed bears remarkable similarities to the 1st production Bell helicopter, the Model 30:

- And, finally, the description of the YouTube clip is:

"Bell Aircraft test footage of early helicopter. Pilot was thrown into blades, but only suffered minor injuries"

Where and when did that terrible accident with the Mi-8 tailrotor happen?
How did he loose his tailboom? On the videohost site it is said that it was caused by a midair collision with another helicopter.
