I have completed the physics test.
Just practice on PASS pilot assessments Jet2 package and it will be more than enough.

Good luck all and hope to meet you in the next stage!

I’ve not heard anything so I’m assuming it’s a no - interestingly I scored higher (/20) than some of the above scores so I’m assuming some tests are more weighted than others. I royally messed up the on the day and night task and scored a 1 so I’m assuming you had to score higher on this task.
I just hope they send out rejections timely as from reading this thread last year it was a 12 week wait for those who failed at this stage
.
Good luck to you all and well done!

genuinely don’t overthink it, it’s as simple as direction of flight is x with crosswind y placing you at z what course should you take to correct, no f=ma etc and very simple velocity questions, nothing that requires breaking out the calculator etc, bit of velocity vs speed which at first caught me off guard but they’re simple numbers

Which tests exactly do you recommend to practice? The PASS category seems to consist of quite a lot of tests.

Physics Test
Did any of you guys have any trouble answering the questions in the time given? As in you couldn't complete them in time? It makes me a bit worried because maths isn't my strong suit...
Best of luck everyone!

I haven’t managed to sit it yet but from what I’ve heard off people the maths isn’t difficult. As someone said it being multiple choice makes it slightly easier. You can do rough mental maths and choose the closest answer. 8 questions with 3 minutes gives you about 21 seconds per question , use this time up until deadline to practice getting quicker at it. Can only do your best on the assessment. Wish you the best of luck!

I’d say they’re not after maths strength from what I experienced, just grasping concepts such as as heading vs actual direction with a crosswind, graph interpretation etc and easy numbers if they are involved, it’s 8 per section which sounds a lot but out of that say 3 questions won’t even need maths so you’ll fly them and so leave time for any basic maths that crops up, just read the question properly is all I can say as that’s where you’ll miss out if anything! Good luck!

I did not need a calculator, in some cases just logical thinking was already helpful!

I'm a little confused how you solve this, does this require trigonometry therefore to calculate? Or are you saying: Aircraft is flying heading 360 deg, W crosswind component of 5 degrees. Correct course to maintain is 175 to track 180 - is that the gist of it? I have not done physics in decades, and knowing what they want to assess is proving to be harder than I imagined. Many thanks for your comments on this post Luke!
