Did think 2 minutes was a long time (said that before) but wondered if anyone spoke for the full time or mine was a bit short?

I didn't do very well on the maths test, the questions are fine, it's the time limit. The other two tests I finished with time to spare.
Did anyone else submit GCSE certs in the file upload section? It said you could do that and that they would want proof but I didn't think they'd want it at this stage. In any case I don't have them with me.
Ok, panic over people, I recieved my very own rejection email this afternoon. Maths test not up to standard, as expected.
It's not problem, i'll just do some stuff and consider applying again next year.

Thanks to everyone for the posts and shared thoughts in the thread, it was like a little community. Good luck to those still in the running!

My first one was exactly 2 minutes long, second one took a whole minute for me. Tried to make the second one more concise without putting too much information out basically

This is my first attempt this year and I surprised myself by making it through the online assessments. As people have noted, it's definitely the time pressure that gets to you rather than the questions themselves.
As for the Pilot Communication activity, I've just completed it but definitely have the most doubt on this test. Definitely fumbled stage one a bit by taking too long to read the brief and running into the first recording attempt but found the second stage easier.
I'm just hoping that clear communication is what they're looking for and not the instructions themselves as I definitely missed bits out.

It's been good to read this forum so far, knowing that other people are going through the same and most exciting seeing the end of last year with those that got accepted.
If nothing else, it's got my exam and interview mindset fired up again.

How long are people waiting between their PA and acceptance/rejection onto the next stage? Not sure if the rejections that people have received have all been for the online tests, or some for the whole of Stage 1. Thanks

I think so far it's just rejections/acceptance for online tests. Somebody said it'd be mid March for PA results so I would imagine another week or so

I don't think anyone has received feedback on their PA just yet. On mine it said to expect to hear back mid March - maybe an extra week because of the delay in finishing the online tests

I did my PA over two weeks ago now and haven't heard anything but I wouldn't have expected them to get back yet with them still rejecting people after the first three tests. I think today is the last day for people to hear back about the first three tests, based on this 7th of March email, which means everyone should have done the PA by Monday the 10th. I'd then probably give them minimum a week, probably more like two to get back to people from the PA.

Has anyone still not heard back yet about the first 3 tests? Everyone I know has had their successful/rejection emails already

Is there anybody still waiting for an invite to the PA or a rejection email, I know today is the final day they said they would let everyone know but I am still waiting for a response.

Yeah 2 mins felt long, both of mine were about 1:10. Felt like the right amount of time / info, but I guess we’ll see 🤷

Mine were similar.

I probably could have dragged it out but felt not all of the information was relevant and I would have just been waffling.

I've just seen a post on LinkedIn from someone who has been accepted onto the academy, and he's starting in July. I find it hard to believe some people have already been offered spots as most applicants are either at the PA stage or haven't been accepted to the next round, but then again it could have been from last year's cohort and they're only accepting the spot now, which again, doesn't make sense. Any thoughts?

Before applications opened this year I was reading the earlier posts on this thread from last year's applicants - don't take this as gospel, but I'm fairly sure that the intakes for both flight schools are staggered (maybe 12 per intake?), so some who were accepted last year could've either started as early as December or as late as July. I recall seeing an earlier post mentioning something about applicants who already had their class 1 medicals sorted getting spots on the sooner start dates.

That would most definitely be from last years cohort, as this years start in January 2026.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they stagger the start dates, with 10-20 candidates starting per month. Don't quote me on that though.

Edit: Or it could be from the self sponsored pathway?

It's absolutely not from this year's current application process. They're running cohorts of around 20 students from last years SPA so there are intakes every month until possibly as late as November this year.

That person would be on last year's intake and would have accepted in October/November 2024. However assuming they are currently working with a 3 month notice period it makes sense to only announce a July start now, having handed their notice in.
