Same here, must be automatic or have a nice pass bar, as a I definitely failed a couple of those math and logical reasoning ones. Also anyone else but me on the numerical get averages that just weren't one of the answers? If so, and my GCSE math hasn't just completely left me, this may have been why they automatically put through the online interview.

I applied to the TUI thing too. Glad to see that I am not the only person that found the tests really hard; especially thee logical reasoning which was just well OTT. Sat the test last night and was invited to the interview right away. Hoping to do that tomorrow!

Anyone that has sat the interview, have you heard back yet? Or tips/what to expect

I sat it a few days ago and haven't heard back. If I ever do, I'd expect it to be after the holidays. The questions are nothing to be worried about and you can rerecord your video if you mess it up. Just make sure to wear RayBans.

Hi all, I think I did ok in the tests but they did take me a LONG while to complete. Did anyone here manage them in the 15 minutes that it said they should take? - I got my one way interview invite instantly which makes me think I would have irrespective of my performance in the tests. Good luck all.

As others have mentioned, you get to redo the interview questions as many times as you like, so just jump in and see. As expected, they are along the lines of why, what sort of questions

hi, I've applied on Friday, got an instant invitation to complete the online tests, I personally found the tests okay(ish) in particular the numerical test was easy and managed to finsh within 15 minutes. FWIW there's no timer, make sure you start one on your phone

When you say instant do you mean immediately after receiving the “Thank you for your application to join us at TUI” email?

It just says “submitted” under my application on my TUI profile..

Now you're showing off! I got bogged down with one particular question in the NR, I just couldn't get to one of the given answers, close but not close enough. I still can't get the answer now having taken a screenshot and tried in my own time. I should have probably just selected a random one and moved on - I bit it was a test of task fixation or something!

For me the assessments appeared on the dashboard the moment I clicked submit... same for the one way interview. From this thread it seems that's not the case for everyone with some getting the invite a day or so later.

I've applied too.

When I sign in to the portal, and click on the "jobs applied" dropdown the box shows Pilot Cadet Programme and has "Complete Your Assessments" in red. I've already done the About You, Numerical, Verbal and Logical reasoning tests and the Digital Interview, and these boxes are greyed out. The About The Job, Meet Our Pilots and Online Assessments boxes are all still in blue and red colours, but I don't seem to be able to clear them.

Can anyone confirm their application looks the same? Slightly worried mine is stuck in a half finished state.

Yes that's correct I had an instant email immediately after submitting the application to do the online assessments. I believe there's an automated system that goes through your profile and CV picking up keywords and phrases.

Don't worry too much as long as you get interview invitation you pretty much though. I still find logical reasoning questions to be tricky.

Has anyone heard anything further from Tui post-interview?

I attended the Leading Edge Fully Funded assessment yesterday, and thankfully, passed. Next stage for that is psychometric testing and an essay I believe, in Feb '23.

Nope, haven't heard back yet - saying that I only did my interview this morning.

I would be surprised if we hear anything before Christmas, I would think it will be a wait until January.

Mine is the same. As long as you have the "Thank You!" email where they confirm they will be reviewing your application and the next steps, you should have nothing to worry about.

The software used will scan your CV for keywords and phrases and decide whether to send the invite for the tests. Then based on how well you did in the tests, decides whether or not to send an invite for the videos. THEN it can perform some machine learning/AI (all them buzz words) to predict your match to the role. This can be things like eye contact, tone, confidence in your voice and body language, keywords and phrases. I'm not 100% sure about this software package but similar offerings have the option to let current employees take the assessments to get a base line idea of what the ideal person is, then comapre that against your test and video assessments to determine how closely you match up to people currently employed in the same role. Then the recruiters will get a rating for your potential... it really can be that impersonal
OR it could let everyone do CV, tests and videos, then get an overall score. A lot of this functionality is optional for the company though. A quick way to test is to submit a CV full of junk text.

Mine is the same. It's probably because the software knows there are other steps in the assessment process and complete your asssessments just comes with in progress applications. Just crap software.

I think you're right - just uploaded a junk CV and completed the application indicating the correct answers, and rather than invite me to assessments or present me with a link to the dashboard, the email says "we'll be back in touch soon"... sounds like they're doing as you say, scanning the CV, and flagging anything abnormal for human review.

Yikes - scratch that... I'm through to the tests! lol. The CV is literally just "John Smith CV"...

haha that's great! Now rush through the tests answering everything wrong and then do the video assessments with a sock puppet

So, i did the tests and went for "A" everytime, and was quickly sent an email saying;

I am sorry to advise that we won’t be progressing your application further, unfortunately, your application did not meet the requirements for the role.

No sock puppet interview for me!

Good to see there are some genuine checkpoints, particularly after the test section - gives me some hope I actually got through it anyway. Now I just have to make sure they don't tie John Smith's IP address to mine...
