Angry Pilotbloodywarehouse

Logbook ordered on 7th, nothing arrived, phone permanently off the hook and no response to email.

In addition to cancelling the order i have:

Lodged complaint with my bank. (they can't act until 30 days from order date)

this will be followed with complaints to the following:

Visa

google ( these had the # 1 position which is why i went to them).

Office of fair trading

if there are any other bodies to complain to then let's hear from everyone else who has been conned.

Wished to goodness I had seen these posts about their lousy service before I ordered an airband scanner to take to Popham this weekend, placed order a week ago asked for urgent delivery, nothing heard and they haven't processed card details, their phone is engaged tone all day.

As someone whos got their own mail order business, I am surprised how they keep going, definately one to avoid in future I think

Similar thing happened to me when I ordered a PPL study pack. I never received it however they didn't take my money either which is one plus. Tried phoning them but as someone said the line doesn't work. I think they just closed up shop and didn't bother telling anyone...

Angry Never buy at Pilotwarehouse again

I placed an order In June 2011 and as of today (Sept 30th) I'm still waiting.
No reply to my numerous emails. I'm not even talking about the phone, constantly unavailable.
How could this website be ranked??? top Swindler?

I was told that the receivers are being brought in for the Company. Do not spend any money with them - full stop.

Still, there may be some liquidated stock hitting the marketplace soon!

My Brother ordered 'Flight theory for pilots' by C E Dole for me as a Christmas present on the 8th Dec! They have not taken the money so he has sent them an e-mail requesting they cancel the order, as it won't be here in time for Christmas. They never answer their phones, obviously disregard e-mails etc. I can't help but think - 'how can a company with the business knowledge of a garden snail' exist with other genuine, reliable companies out there! Atrocious customer service. In fact, I would say the customer service is non- existent! After my brothers concerns I tried calling them today (15 times) with no success. STAY AWAY

I work at RAF Halton where they rent one of the premises and I have not seen anyone there for at least 4 months. If you have something on order that you have paid for I suggest you contact your Credit Card Company or Bank at the earliest opportunity.

I've used them once, and once only. I ordered around 200 pounds worth of stuff - PPL books, which I never received, nor did I receive any refunds. I argued with them for 6 months and in the end, I just gave up. They aren't worth all the hassle. A company to avoid!

If you have ordered items and paid but never received them, then you are protected if you used your credit card (Sec 75 Credit Consumer Act) and also protect to some degree if you used a debit card. Did you not claim your money back? Or seek redress via the sale of goods act?

Affectively not a trading company as of January 2010 (Two years ago!), and they haven't submitted accounts to Companies House since 2008!!

Certainly not a company to deal with on that information. Given the period of dormancy it is surprising the website is still up and running, and hasn't long since been shut down due to unpaid hosting fees.

It states above that the last accounts were for a dormnt company - this suggests that they were trading under either another limited company name or as a sole proprietor/partnership.

So who's Ambrit?

Domain name:
pilotwarehouse.co.uk

Registrant:
Ambrit Ltd

Ambrit still seem to be a going concern - suspect it's just their hosting company.

I too put in an order a few weeks ago, and got an odd feeling from not hearing anything. Thankfully they seem to have not taken any money so I've sent in a cancellation which will give me enough cover if I need to go to the bank and revoke any payments...

Transair all the way for me now...

This thread was started in 2009, why are people still ordering from them?

Anytime before I make an online order, I would always google to get info about a site!

I did order in 2009, and to be fair, I did get all in the end, but it took several months! I would NEVER order again from them.

Word of warning. This company still has an active website. Will take an order and send a confirmation. Then nothing.

Pilot Warehouse website / AMBRIT Ltd

I've just spoken with Dale Hughes of Ambrit ([email protected] / 01442 866294 / E-commerce Software. Instant-Shop ecommerce shopping cart from Ambrit Ltd UK) and advised him of what seems to be going on with the Pilot Warhouse site. Ambrit provide the hosting and also the e-commerce software that PW uses. I've given Dale a link to this thread, and suggested that now Ambrit are aware of what appears to be happening at PW, they have a responsibility (whether legal or moral) to take some action. He has agreed to pass this information to his management team and I hope that act on it. At least it's recorded here that they've been made aware of the situation, and they've confirmed receiving the link to this thread. Let's hope they act responsibly and do something about it to reduce the risk of Ambrit themselves being in any way culpable by association.

Website still taking orders

I assumed that since there was no recent complaint activity and the website showed 2013 offers, that the previous problems had all been resolved.

I placed an order with them well before Christmas. Nothing received, two emails to customer services and no response. Tried the telephone number and it's a dead line.

I wonder if Pilotwarehouse and Proviation are linked??

I'll be cancelling the credit card transaction and have since ordered through Transair, which was a thoroughly pleasant experience all around.

I also have not received goods and they are not replying to email.

The number provided by ambrit.com (their ISP) is out of service.

Tim at ambrit.com kindly agreed to forward an email of mine to them from me.
