Pilotwarehouse website Warnings (Merged)

Having made orders in November, I have only recieved half the orders.
Tried to call them, impossible to get hold of anyone - and when you do get someone they promise to call back and never do!

They have however kept my money.

No update on order by phone or emails - despite several emails and phone calls/ messages to them.

They are a con! What more can I say, that is my experience. In case anybody decides to order from them, be warned. I did get half of the order, and then no more.

Hi chaps,

Exactly the same with me. I ordered from Pilot supplies, aviation publishers, manufacturers and distributors of pilot's training, navigational, aircraft and touring accessories - Pilot Warehouse UK.

If you used a credit card to buy your stuff then you're protected. Phone the card company and give them the low down on whats happened. They will then refund your money and go after teh company themselves (if they can be bothered)....either way you should get your money back!!!!!

Guys, I'm not trying to defend pilotwarehouse, but are you sure that they took money up front and didn't just send you an acknowledgement of order?

If money has been taken then, yes, get your credit card comapny to refund you. If you paid by debit card then your next port of call should be Trading Standards. Even if it's only a few pounds they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

PILOTWAREHOUSE website is FRAUD, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!

I used Debit card, and not credit card.

They do not send any order confirmation when shipment is ready, actually is never ready - as nothing ever arrives.

Gave them the benefit of the doubt when they sent me half of my first order, but since then gone. FRAUDSTERS - and all should be warned.
I will check with my bank, to see what can be done, still before anyone else gets conned, PILOTWAREHOUSE IS FRAUD - am I allowed to say this? Based on personal experience, and it seems I am not the only one!

The same thing happened to me. I ordered a dictionary and few other books on Cessna and Piper. That was something like.. maybe mid june?

Up to this date, they charged me for one book and haven't received anything. Tried to get a refund.. but when I phone them, I honestly loose my nerves. The same story everytime. "It will be send as soon as it's in stock| what the hell?

Got this message all too late unfortunately...Ordered something last wednesday, nothing on Monday (today), rang them but line does not work.

So I decided to do a google search "pilot warehouse problems" - lo & behold.

The last time I used them was years ago and was happy with the service.

AVOID PILOT WAREHOUSE.

Why don't you all call trading standards then? Standing by and letting bad things happen is why bad things happen.

Speak to the directors at their contact number - their details are freely available online at Companies House. Exhaust all options before taking any other action. Small claims court is the cheap and simple answer.

was waiting over two weeks for books to be delivered, but to be fair phoned them and they dispatched the order again which arrived next day. The first order eventually arrived and were returned.

still wouldn't recommend them though...

Thumbs up Small delay, but OK

I ordered DC ANR Headset from Pilotwarehouse a month ago. After two weeks I called what happend to my order and I was informed that it will be shipped soon. Credit card was not debited - they debit CC when order is shipped! After another 2 weeks when I called again I was told that they had some troubles with stock, but it will be shipped in next two days. There was a nice guy (I think his name is Christopher). I received parcel with headset 3 days later (in Slovakia).
Maybe there are some troubles with some type of goods, but I was satisfied! (a bit longer delivery time, but anyway the price compensate it )

Maybe someone should show them this thread. With quite a wide readership on here I wonder how many potential customers they will lose.
I've just ordered 300 pounds worth of charts and survival equipment elsewhere, despite better prices with this supplier.

My wife placed an order for a log book for my birthday but it arrived damaged. I offered to return it but they said don't bother and actually sent me two CDs on radio telephony for free. Just what I needed and it cost them more including the shipping, so one happy customer here!

I've had a few problems with them (see other thread) which have now been resolved.

Contrary to what the poster above is suggesting, the folks at Pilot Warehouse are not fraudulent, just manifestly incompetent

Pilot warehouse

I placed an order and they were quick in delivering, unfortunately there was a problem, I returned said problem items asking for a refund and I've had no response to emails or phone calls, the phone is either permanently engaged or a message saying answerphone is full.
Is there any other way of getting a response from them ?
I wish I'd seem this thread first.

Pilot warehouse still failing to deliver in 2011

Just wanted to let everyone know that Pilot warehouse still have delivery and customer service problems. They haven't delivered an order to me which has been outstanding since Nov, 2010 and their phone is either engaged or is not answered. I have also sent them 4 emails none of which have been replied to.

One of the emails was an order cancellation in which I specifically asked for acknowledgement, and now I have to go to the bother of a registered letter to cover myself just in case they do deliver something at some point.

A company with such appalling customer service does not deserve to be a successful business. With the number of similar stories on this forum, my view is that people are taking an unnecessary risk in ordering from this company.

Pilot warehouse still failing to deliver in 2011

Jambone,
in my case I have nothing to complain to an authority figure about. They haven't charged a credit card, they just haven't delivered and have failed to communicate with their customer. Should they ever deliver anything it will go straight back and at that point I can involve the banks and trading standards if they do not provide a refund.

My aim here is to warn fellow pilots there is risk when buying from this company. I would not have ordered from them if I had found this thread before I had ordered, and if this addition to the body of complaints saves just one person from being disappointed, then I'll be happy.
