It is obvious looking at the positioning of the GoPro cameras, there was an intention to hide the front seat occupant Ewald Gritsch.

She claimed in her statement last October
I have stated publicly previously (11 June 2016) that I am deeply disappointed at the comments coming from a particular source making false assertions that my flight expeditions should have been executed as solo flights – and that I have claimed them as such. I have previously stated they were not “solo flights”. They are all about a collaborative team effort and celebrating the brilliant achievements of women like Amy Johnson and Lady Heath who made history when aviation was in its infancy.
So I ask again ,why was the team plus key player Ewald, hidden from all the receptions and public events?

Why was the scene at Sydney designed to hide him from the media?

Would the truth have ever emerged without others exposing it?

I doubt it.

The big question is what happens next. The Spirit of Artemis seems to have disappeared and as I have said before TCT appears reluctant to be seen flying it.

Over a year has passed with no news of when the film of her 'adventure' being screened.

We also await news of the planned resumption of the trans USA flight.

A recent update on the Fakebook page suggested it was recently flying (2nd Feb) still proudly wearing the original sponsor's colours and names.

That video was shot some time ago.

Leaves on the trees and dry grass suggests summer.

The last recorded flight on Planefinder was September 27 2016.
Remarkably close to Ewald Gritsches 3G Aviation.

Be interesting to know if the aircraft still carries the "Artemis" signage, since the company web site makes absolutely no mention of TCT or her flights.

I believe it is common knowledge that Artemis have ended their commercial relationship with BIAB, is it not?

As part of that termination they might well have insisted that their logo's are removed, which effectively would mean a new paint job.

Just supposition on my part, but based on a professional knowledge of the finance industry and a certain amount of common sense. I too could find no trace of TCT on Artemis's online media presence when I searched it late 2016.

Time will tell.

A recent update on the Fakebook page suggested it was recently flying (2nd Feb) still proudly wearing the original sponsor's colours and names.
As above, I think that is old footage.

Can we assume that if Ewald has taken back possession of the Stearman
Despite what Ewald says on his site saying TCT owns the aircraft, the registration details say his company is the owner, likewise the Arizona accident report, which also lists TCT as the "operator" through her "BiB" company.
I believe it is common knowledge that Artemis have ended their commercial relationship with BIAB
I've not seen anything definitive TOFO myself, but if that is the case does it not suggest something?

I have waded back to November and found one of my old posts.

Artemis sponsorship ended in December.

This from Artemis Head of Communications Ross Leckie.

Tracey’s achievements continue to cause some controversy; and of course we do not condone illegality of any kind. If Tracey has broken any rules, no doubt the appropriate authorities will take action. As planned from the outset, our sponsorship of her is due to end next month. With her programme of ‘outreach’ to African women by way of example, as one of her sponsors we will remember the great deal of good she has done.
The above email received on 21 Nov 2016, at 17:20 from Ross Leckie <[email protected]
I cannot find any reference to her on Boeing sites so assume their sponsorship has also expired.

With the ending of the sponsorship I assume the aircraft will no longer be allowed to carry the Artemis and Boeing brand names.

So will the USA trip resume?

Her website originally claimed that a tv film was being made by Leopard Productions for broadcast by National Geographic. There is no mention of it on Leopard Films website.
https://leopard.world/productions/in-development/

However this info is currently on the Bird in a Biplane site.

Discussions are now underway for a television series of Tracey's ongoing expeditions to
Australia and America.
With all the surrounding controversy honestly editing such a film will be challenging.

In the meantime is the Spirit of Artemis worth a stand alone wiki article?

Jay Sata asked above .......
"Why was the team plus key player Ewald, hidden from all the receptions and public events? Why was the scene at Sydney designed to hide him from the media?"

This may have been, at least partially, answered by TC-T herself in the 2016 Cobham Lecture from where it was reported "The low point was possibly Indonesia where her chase aircraft was detained for a month for flying through a restricted area"

Ewald was certainly in the front seat landing in Australia.

I am not surprised they were detained in Indonesia. TCT freely admitted she has has frequently flow very low and outside the parameters of what could be called reasonable piloting.

The Africa trip saw her admonished for flying in a prohibited zone.

It is remarkable that the Honourable Company of Air Pilots chose her to deliver the Alan Cobham lecture.
He must have turned in his grave.

I am amazed three pilots could not manage to keep on track and outside restricted areas.

The confusion regarding who own the aircraft was raised by this paragraph.
Moreover, for most flights on the 2015/6 expedition to Australia she was accompanied by the aircraft's owner, Ewald Gritsch, a 20,000 hour instructor

So will the USA trip resume? - Jay Sata

Although I suspect that the likelihood of the flight being resumed is somewhat remote, I thought that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gxeep4jv3Y might help the flight planning east from Albuquerque (which I note the BIAB website cannot spell), especially if no other navigational aids are available.

I meant from 2017 Megan.

Artemis appeared to be the main sponsors and the Boeing centenary is over.

I will be surprised if N56200 resumes the American trip.

I am still surprised at the number of aviation People that I mention her to and they say, who?

This whole topic needs more publicity, and a permanent page on Wiki to stop her spreading her nonsense.

You mean a Q&Q session; there will be a distinct lack of any A's as has become the norm.
Unless of course the "A" stands for Avoidance.

From her website :

"She can tailor the content and tone of her speeches to suit".

Well, that bit's definitely true. I've seen her do it ! ...and I imagine that the attendee's at the NWA Talent Show are going to as well.

Personally I'd refuse to share a platform with the woman, and I'm surprised that Nick Colosimo is prepared to. The odd letter of objection might be in order.
