Baboon boy, what I earn an hour is neither your concern or business.

Also i'd be very surprised if you can program Excel in one hour to do everything that Logbook Pro does, if so congratulations, new business on the cards!

Thanks for your concerns about my current system but it is no more risky than having a paper logbook stolen or lost, so hardly a disaster if the phone goes missing because I could update my records from the paper logbook or vice-versa.

using your same theory what would happen then if someone broke into your house and stole your PC??, disaster waiting to happen?

Not if you already have it as many will.

Mcgoo, how I love our little arguments.
How many people are confronted by muggers each year who say "give me your flying logbook or else"? None, a flying logbook is worthless to anyone else apart from the owner. How many say "hand over your mobile phone" Many.

Personally I use my excell spread sheet and a paper logbook, so that if one gets nicked/ lost I will still have a record of all my hours. I think that is the best system.
What will Mcgoo do if on the way home from flying he is mugged at gun point for his mobile and then that evening his computer crashes and looses all data due to a virus it has picked up through his looking at internet pornography sites? All of Mcgoos hard earned flying down the drain!

Quoute Mcgoo: "Also i'd be very surprised if you can program Excel in one hour to do everything that Logbook Pro does, if so congratulations, new business on the cards!"

So what exactly does Logbook Pro do then that is so special? Excel can be programmed to record and tot up hours in different ways, eg night hours, multi crew hours, mep hours, hours on different types etc in a matter of minutes. What more would you want a logbook to do?

I accept that some people might not have excel, however it can be downloaded for free from numerous places.

I have still not had any requests for BaboonLog, so I am cutting the price to 5 bananas.

baboon boy, maybe the drugs are making you a little paranoid, a logbook can still be stolen, in a bag from a car, lost, people may have no purpose stealing a logbook but if they steal a flight bag for the headset, flight computer, gps theres a good chance the logbook will be in there.

you must live in a rough area, i've never been mugged or even had a mugging attempt but I suppose i'm a bit on the large side for that also I still keep a paper logbook so my system only differs from yours by use of the phone.

As for Logbook Pro you already must know what it can do as you claim to have made something exactly the same, although I can't see the CEO of Logbook Pro calling an emergency shareholders meeting anytime soon.

Mcgoo, why do you feel the need to resort to accusing me of having a drug problem? I have no more of a drug problem than you do.

It is a well known fact that mobile phones are one of the most frequently stolen items by thieves. And yes, where I live moblile phone snatchings are common, as they are in most areas of the country. Where do you live? Probably not in the real world, but in "Mgoo's world" of planes, trainspotting, computers, microsoft flight simulator, PPRUNE and logbook software. You should get out more .

And do please enlighten me, what does logbook pro do apart from adding up hours?
The reason why Logbook Pro ltd are not calling emergency shareholders meetings is that there are enough fools out there who do not realise that excel can do exactly the same.

baboon boy, I havn't resorted to anything, you started on my back first with your tedious moderator garbage and chipping away at every post I make and now you seem to have more assumptions of "trainspotting, computers, flight simulator, planes, pprune and logbook software", well I don't know anything about trains, i'm not into computers, I don't own a flight sim, and planes, pprune and logbook software are pretty obvious seeing as i'm a pilot, a logbook is a requirement and this is an aviation website, not sure where your going with all this.

You on the other hand are a self confessed drug user, you posted it yourself, you also claim to be a pilot, what a winning combination, so where your claims are based on speculation, mine are based on your own posts, wheres the issue?

anyway back on topic, you claimed that excel can do anything that logbook pro can, now your asking me what it does, look at the website, you will find a full description there!

mobile phones might be a common snatched item but i keep mine in my pocket and i'm 6'5" and just over 18 stone so I don't tend to attract muggers.

now if you want to do any further sniping do it by pm rather than hijack other peoples threads, if you have a real problem i'll give you my contact details, in the meantime go out and get laid or something!
