The only industry 'whore' that comes to mind is the old "Pig"....Piaggio??

RatsoreA 27th Jul 2010 06:14

Nope... Keep guessing...

I can't say anymore, as soon as I do, someone will get it...

There used to be a Mooney parked on the side of the road in a paddock in the southern suburbs of Perth. Don't know if that is still there, always wondered about it's history! It was painted bright yellow
On Armadale Rd....... Yep still there.
Use to be an old DC3 as a kids play ground at a Maccas in Midland, but that went a few years ago. I believe it ended up in a mini series or similar on the ABC. Static only though.

There is a Cherokee 6 (I think) on the Dive Trail in about 7 mtetres of water down at Rockingham.

ForkTailedDrKiller 27th Jul 2010 07:21

There is a Mooney Super 21 (VH-MWB) in the drink off Newcastle somewhere!

Oh, and an A36 in bits in a hangar at Redcliffe!

Now that one IS inactive! :E

Try one EMB-110 sans engines (undercarriage three 44 gallon drums) at YPLC (VH-LNC) that was cannibalised by some misguided f***wits to keep their ego driven FNP flying. Crying shame to see it every day - was a great aircraft.
About time it became a useful wreck on the sea floor to attract the schnapper!

Chimbu chuckles 27th Jul 2010 10:36

hey Dr - at least its MY temporarily inactive A36:E

Outtahere 27th Jul 2010 10:40

There is a Shorts 360 at Alice
Any idea who owns it and whether it is airworthy? I might have a task for it ;)

Well preserved, though salvage logistics are rather difficult.

Looks like a Beaver.

I don't think she'll be going anywhere to quickly Remoak:)

Oh and I think it's a 330 not a 360. Ugly looking thing whatever it is.

Peter Fanelli 27th Jul 2010 12:38

Looks like a Beaver.
Now that's just begging for some contradictory photos, but alas that would be the end of the thread.

I remember once when I was just a little pilot being stuck at the oaks outside of Sydney and there was some small jet with very faded qantas colours…

Anyone know its story?

And if no one guesses my other one by tomorrow, I will answer it.

Chimbu chuckles 27th Jul 2010 12:56

QF had a small fleet of early HS125s for pilot training back in the late 60s/early 70s. My father flew them a bit - wasn't impressed with them at all.

remoak 27th Jul 2010 13:07

Oh and I think it's a 330 not a 360.
Yes that's a 330.

The old Valiant is probably worth more than an engine-less 330!
