how many?
Only 4 at present...old pilot III [stuck on top of panel]....someone's 2nd hand 296 [yoke mounted]....generic one running the wac chart on the laptop..155xl [panel mounted....about to get demoted by a 430w.....]
Funny thing is I never once got/ felt lost in 10 yrs before I had any!!!!! And recently I turned them all off and map read my way to a remote western queensland spot [Cooper's run], just to prove to myself I could still do it after 25yrs.... Good practice... Flopt |
going'flyin,
Not sure where you get your info from, but you're a long way from the truth mate. morno |
Its a little thing called SARCASM Morno.
Remember the West Ops PC12's, with switches moved from the overhead panel to lower panel, effectively converting them back to a previous series overhead panel to streamline the fleet. |
You do have a point there, that was a gripe of my own as well.
However, look where some of those switches up top have moved to in the PC-12NG's, :ok:. Back to where they originally were! morno |
Morno, Not many switches left on the lower panel in the PC12NG, just the Ice Protection, everything else overhead.
http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/7727/overhead.jpg Anyway, enough of a thread drift. The picture - where are we? (not too difficult) http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/6730/img0872b.jpg |
Grog - can't tell you definitively (not being the boss), but my best guess is
A: the whole fleet has them, but not all the fleet has Proline; and B: saves switching GPS / PFD systems from their primary purpose by having a dedicated checklist with a remote trigger and audio output into the ICS. Can tell you it works real well though.:ok: Chuck, anything smaller than 10" doesn't count as a real screen :E (one of those little 'uns is the ESIS, t'other is the radio control /display head.) |
Goin', Male'.

This has got to be the best thread on PPrune. Keep it up guys!
Makes you realize there is nothing better out there.... |
Tried to attach a photo but dont know how to do it, can anyone give an idiots guide on how to do it
Ta:ok: |
G'day Arnold,
First you have to have the picture hosted somewhere like here Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket Then when you've done that copy the URL for it and in the reply to post box you'll see a bunch of little icons accross the top of the typing area. Hover over the one with a pic of a mountain and you'll see it says 'insert image', click on it and paste the previously copied URL in there but make sure you don't get two lots of http:// or it won't work. Preview it to see if it worked and away you go. Regards, BH. |
Glass RV I'm building bit of wiring left to go

Still dont think I've got this image posting under control yet. Image filled the whole screen and didnt leave any room for text. The pic was the recommended size, so how do you make it physically smaller or move so you can add text?
