Let me answer it with a question. Why do you "need" to wear them?

Why the epaulets? Because they're probably required by their employer! :ugh: :rolleyes: :suspect:

If the stripes, pips and bars are for crisis situations, why do Defence people wear them at all times? Why not when they go into combat? In fact, it's the opposite isn't it. When they go into combat the rank comes OFF. So much for that theory. :mad:

Keg said it all! In my case bentleg, I was handed a pair of epaulets by the Chief Pilot when I started with the company and told ''make sure you wear them when you're flying.''

If you have a problem with that.......tough!

Like worn epaulets, the 'mutton chops' probably come with experience. I'm a little suprised there are no 'flavour savers' on board.
