Next course 25 June then. Does anyone know how many people are still left on the previous hold file brought over from last year, before the current round of interviews started in Feb?

I have a mate that got a "NO" 3 days after his interview on the 30th Apr so if you haven't heard, that might be a good thing.

Does anyone have any info on realistically how long people can expect to be on the hold file for?
Is there any truth to the rumor that if you don't "like" the first round offers, you can defer until a round 2 offer is given?
Thank you in advance

Guys, someone who I think is with Virgin said I dont know how many pages back that yes u can reject the first offer but u must take the second or that is it, you are out.
As several suggested you are far better off getting in asap and transferring internally when the base you want has vacancies. You get a seniority number asap that way.
Best of luck to you all. At least you are flying somewhere and got an interview at Virgin to boot.
Life is very bleak when you are stuck on the ground.

hi all.
so are they crewing a particular base or is it a case of where ever is required at the time of hire? and what's the base transfer policy and time span? and does the base determine the a/c you go onto or does everyone start on the ejet?
finally, can someone list the experience required for the 3 levels of FO salary?
thanks

Could people try READING THE THREAD before asking the same questions over and over again? Otherwise just keep saying no to the offers (I'm sure they'll keep calling you) until you get A330 BNE based...
Pd, the fo levels of pay are based on hours on ac over 50T: lvl 2 @ 500hrs, lvl3 @ 2000hrs.

Some people may (just may) have a valid and warranted reason (ie a commitment) to fulfill before joining... If the opportunity was there..

There are a number of pilots commuting around the network, at this stage the company does not make any provisions for commuting unless you are with VAI. In that case they will provide confirmed flights but no accommodation. It's doable, but probably not a long term option.
I would suggest to anyone that would like to be based in BNE take an EJET seat, any future f/o spots in BNE will be on the EJET. Could be waiting many many years for a 737 fo spot in BNE.
Good luck to all those who are waiting.

Well those pilots who turned down the first offer and are waiting the next one may regret it now. As the company ( and the unions seem happy with it ) have chosen the 1 June 2012 as the date to start the group pilot list. This means anyone joining now will have 150 odd PAC Blue pilots in front of them.
The company is also wants 5 day trips ( up from 4), so if it gets the nod fewer new pilots would be required.

It seems as though interviewing was done in two groups. Jan through to end of March and April through to May.
Has anyone in group 1 got a hold position yet? As I assume most of you would have had ref checks and got the email that says its going to management for final approval.
Group 2 is not far behind, I would assume that some of the people that interviewed in April have had their apps handballed off to management, whilst the May apps are awaiting ref checks.
By the end of all this they are probably going to have a nice pile of around 60 future flight crew which is very smart and proactive on their behalf! Well done.
Does any know of, or had and interview post mid May? I havent heard of anyone, so I wonder if that is it for another 12 to 18 months?
Their recruitment process seems to baffle everyone. Fun having a stab at how they work!! All the best to those waiting.

G'day, my interview was early march.
About 3 weeks ago they sent the email saying the app had been hand balled to senior management for final approval
60 is a fair number, exciting times ahead I reckon
Is there any more information on how long you might be on the hold file for?
Thanks in advance

No one seems to know that one?
People who are in the running for a V Aus position might be on hold for a lot less than the others, as current Crz Fo's / International crew get first crack at moving across to the domestic fleet. This may create more spots there initially.
With more 330's arriving plus increased frequency in to some ports I would take a guess that they will probably aim to have all those on hold up and running by this time next year.
