It sounds like you might be on the money, atlas. Have they always notified candidates in a group, or is it something new? It would be interesting to hear how many have interviewed and how many they want!

When did you do your interview? I believe it is taking anywhere from 2-8 weeks for reference checks. Correct me if Im wrong

6 weeks and waiting. got an email a week after my interview regarding reference checks. 5 weeks on and nothing heard. Anyone got an offer yet?

Of all the people I know who have had interviews (around 10), have all had turbine, multi crew experience.
Of all the people I know who already work for virgin, all joined with turbine multicrew experience.
That's not to say there is noone in virgin or who have had interviews that haven't got that experience- but there is a definite trend showing that that is what they prefer

They are still conducting reference checks at the moment, as some of mine have been called this week. There must be a massive backlog due to the high volume of candidates, as the email suggested.

That's not good news if true.
From the info out in the marketplace VA are looking to add 10 additional airframes this year. If they are freezing courses does that mean that they are delaying orders, returning aircraft on lease earlier, or just making the existing pilot group fly more? Or maybe just running E-190 courses?

You and I were interviewed around the same time. Our references have been checked (which is great! ). However, others that also interviewed with us haven't heard anything? Does this mean something? Or am I looking too much into it?

Funny how the aussie industry works

I applied last yr have close to 1000hrs Ejet time and almost 3K Jet time and nothing from Virgin... Probably not enough moon landings it is

Just got a call that I should be notified of success re hold file in next 2-4 weeks. Applications now passed reference checks and off to senior management team for approval. Hang in their fellow applicants.

I had a call from HR telling me 2 - 4 weeks for an answer and also references checked.. Hope that is a good sign, but i'm probably reading too much into it. Good luck to everyone who has had interviews.
