d U S,
If you are in the RAAF - you get paid rain, hail or shine / fly or no fly. The rest of us trying to cut out a living from this industry should not have our livelihoods put in danger through ill conceived and poorly implemented restrictions.

I think ironically he or she may be a GA instructor from YSBK, or some other way related to YSBK.

Might be wrong, but previous posts seem to suggest it.

d U S,

we were actually having an argument the other day over which was the most idiotic post on pprune.
Actually I think yours comes close to qualifying. A sentence starts with a capital "W", not little "w". It is not a week long restriction. Go read the AIP again. This time, count carefully. I'll give you a hint. You have ten digits and all are important in reaching an accurate conclusion. Your time starts now ...
As for your other reference I don't want to rebutt because I don't think you know what you are talking about.

I thought pilots had a hard time with the TRA. Residents in Woolloomooloo are now having their own TRA problem because of the USS Kitty Hawk. Go figure.

Well I fail to see the irony but yes, I am only an instructor from ysbk. I find the whole thing highly inconvenient also, to the point that i've decided to take holidays for the period and let the rest of the company deal with it.

I would have thought there were slightly better ways to go about this apec meeting, that said my only bone to pick was the moronic anti RAAF attitude flowing into a classic left leaning self hating 'keep your friendly fire in iraq' uni student like tirade suggesting those who follow orders are on an equitable level to those who ran any number of evil historical death camps. Its puerile and self serving. Further anyone who rebuts an attack with vacuous and poorly delivered barbs regarding my lack of capitalization, well, really. Enough said.

The rest of this anti apec R902 wacko PRD im actually behind. I find it absurd that this includes places as far away as ywol. What i'm not particularly worried about is some incredibly negligent hornet pilot shooting me down because I turned right instead of left. I would like to see GA given more room to operate however. I still have no idea how one is supposed to do circuits at hox or scn or sbk. How do you file a flight plan for that?

d U S,

Thanks for your post. Don't let your lack of schooling get in the way of a good education. I think M Twain said that. Start reading widely about what's left and what's right, etc, it's important stuff to know in life.

You are a teacher so keep your grammar sharp, watch your acronyms (they should be capitalized) and your sentences are too long. "i" should be "I", "i've" should be "I've" etc, etc. One day a student may correct your written critique on their flying and you may be embarassed. Especially a student from a non English speaking country. As it is, you have trouble counting.

When a person wants less bureaucracy, less government, less interference by departments, that's right leaning. Which is what I am. As for your comparisons, you don't know what you are talking about. If you can post a reply in proper written English, I will endeavour to engage you on your other points.

As for comments on the RAAF, I remember Doug Mulray over 20 years ago, used to joke:
Q: How do you get to own your very own F-111?
A: Buy a big block of land .... and wait.

Can you see we could actually substitute F-111 with Sea Kings?

Your other points are great ones that I agree with. You pose good questions too.

In any case this is about bureaucrats making silly rules. Let's engage on that. I don't care if you are from the Judean Liberation Front or the People's Liberation Front of Judea (get the drift?). Most people can't just pack up and leave their jobs. What if they don't want to run away, like you?

I'll give you a hint sunshine, if you wish to be a condescending ******** and deride me because I failed to capitalize "I've", infering I’m some kind of illiterate moron, then I suggest your correspondence be a little more watertight. I'd be a little embarassed if I made a basic spelling error, compared to failing to make a little 'i' a biggerer one (playing in character for you ace).

And if you want to be a real prat, just before I left my caravan park public school in year 6 they let me know that sentences require a verb.

And I could go on and on. So why don’t you grow up, put down your insult pen before you hurt yourself again and starting being a bit more productive around here for all your 30 posts. People in glass houses? Remember?

Back on topic if I may, I’d be interested to know what people are doing to protest or help with this silly r902 affair. What do you do for circuit operations? Training area? What are other schools doing?

Das,

Good question well asked. Hell, I'm a rotary wing pilot in Nowra and I'm wondering how I might go about travelling north of Kiama coastal if the need should arise. I guess the only real silver lining here is that its a reasonably short period, so I'd say you were right in looking at taking some leave and coming back when life has returned to normal.

By the way (and I mean this TOTALLY tongue in cheek)...take a step back and look at the rediculousness of the last couple of posts...I mean, I've been in stitches.

Anyway, serious question for you (as a Bankstown bubba)...what ARE operators doing during that period...inquiring minds want to know.

Look forward to your (correctly punctuated, capitalised and spellchecked) reply
