Well, that's actually what happened to the pilot on the first ever F-14 ejection. They were inbound and suffered a hydraulic failure, also the first of its kind.


Watch from 0:52 - 1:12. For those that haven't watched the Fighter Fling videos I would highly recommend them!

Turbine outlet ducts...

Look at the FA/18 exhaust outlet cones on post #9539 especially ... looks like one engine had failed, and bypass/compression exhaust ducts were open...
