I think best I let CASA talk about that. I believe they may have caught up with said dodgy operator.

I assume you know who/what/where?

Hey Frigatebird, how's the SLuG going? Many many hours in that machine.

More importantly, how's Judy from the shop going? Some great times spent flying in and out of that strip.

Xmas day a few years back I saw a guy do his best to get a C185 to sit on It's nose. Unsuccessful thankfully, but he did do a good number on the prop!

XXX, that would be Tangalooma. And yes, good ol' SLG. I too have spent the odd hour or two in that machine. Perfect machine for that type of strip.

Ah,good old Tangalooma. The trees used to very tall from the beach to the position of the current windsock. Also at the northern end.

Fully loaded Partenavia, patches of soft sand & the trees looming large in the windscreen. Sphincter puckering was the only thing that got clearance over eucalypts.

Yep, Boonah. Good scenery on the various FS programs, I've just got Voz running along with 2004, but the add on for FSX is really detailed, right down to them roos that give you a little adrenalin kickstart of an afternoon!

In the old days, had to land on the beach out front, when the tide was out, as the opposition had the rights to use the strip and wouldn't let us..
was talking 40 years ago, Jaba. Wouldn't know what happened in the more recent past, just know I keep my nose clean. Got approached to bring 8 people back from Kingaroy during the recent floods, but passed it on. Heard the local operators Seneca depart half an hour later, guess he did two trips.

I'm sorry, but not surprised to hear that Jaba. When I left 4-5 years ago I was offered a gig that would have been shady at best. Guess somebody took it.

What is the location of the RFDS line up, or did I miss it?

how's the SLuG going?
Dave
Went allright to Emerald and back on a private flight. Even got the old Garmin 100 to work, which helped with down low dodging the Cbs that the RFDS and QLinks and Jets were diverting 30 miles left and right of 'ROUTE' , and holding for in different places, as they were stacked for arrivals into Bris.
