Hi again!

WOW! That windup trick sounds pretty cool! I will have to ask my flying buddies about that one and will definately give it a go within the next few days on my warrior. I also figured that sticking your head in really must give you an insight into how it all works...

I just thought i would let you know that i am really really excited about this new program!!! I told my parents and friends about it and they are so proud of me!

Time in a Tomahawk should be fine for me. Obviously i will need a bit of training and a check flight as i am not used to turbine single engine aircraft. Yes, i have heard some bad things about those cessnas, anyway, what is the use of flying high wing aircraft when i need to get used to low wing aircraft just like my 767 within the next few months!

anyway, have to run, will speak to you soon!

Tinpis - Hows Darwhine going?

Tinpis2 - RIP

Tinpis3 - Welcome to pprune !!!

Tinpis4 -

I too am very interested in joining you. I have 160 hours and also have a duchess endorsement! Do you think we will need a night rating?

I could have told you what a wind up was. We wound our prop the other day due to flat batteries. I dont think you should get your head as close to the prop as that other guy suddested to you. I think this would be a little silly, foolish and dangerous! Dont you?

Anyway if there is anyone that can offer me and the lad some more advice as to how to go about obtaining airline employment, it would be most appreciated.

p.s. do you really think we could fly a B767 with 300 hours? It would be awesome if this is true !

Thanks everyone !

Okay, maybe 300 hours is a stretch. If you pay an extra $7K upfront we can put you in an accelerated course and you'll be flying 767s in 275 hours.

The secret key to cracking an airline job is to have something different to offer, that sets you apart from all other applicants. Like an Antonov 72 rating for example. I would suggest you get your arse up to Kazahkstan as fast as possible, you'll need 20 grand US. Find some An72s on an airforce base and give your briefcase to the man with the most medals and stripes. Dont forget your logbook, he will take you aside and discretely put your endo sticker in - the duchess is used as a ground attack fighter up there, so your previous high performance hours can be cross credited without even flying the aircraft (jets are pretty similar anyway.)

If you can afford it, go and do an Antonov 124 rating while you are there, the duchess is pretty heavy but the An124 rating will give you just that little bit of extra heavy time to sharpen you up into the 300TT range.

By now you will getting some very excited responses to your C.V. Any twin otter operator in PNG will finally be able to upgrade to a 38 seat jet twotter, and with your Antonov 72 rating you'll probably get a direct entry command. Meanwhile, back at Qantas, impressed accountants will be rubbing their hands with glee - finally, an applicant qualified to help establish the An-124 freighter division!

You should hear back from Qantas pretty quickly, probably even before you're finished delivering all the An-72s into PNG. If you dont, they're probably waiting for you to buy an Antonov 225 rating, they'll probably call as soon as you update after doing the An225 rating.

Don't tell anyone, but there's something you should know about Qantas - they haven't actually got the air crew to handle A380 breakdowns! So when their A380 wingtip mangles a British Airways 747 wingtip at Heathrow, they will have to get a new A380 wing up there, AND a new 747 wing. The only way to do this economically is with an Antonov 225 Mriya, which is the rumour being whispered about at top board level meetings at the moment. (along with the Antonov 124 freighter division). And who is the only man in Australia with that rating? That's right, you!

Dont tell anyone about this, its strictly insider info from my neighbour's uncle's mate who is a cleaner, he's mates with the cleaner who vacuums the CEOs office, and has read all of this on the Commodore 64 that stores the secret memos. You can thank me later, I want a go on the An72.

Definately jetsar. They are the SAR outfit and aviation arm of ASIO. They are soooooooo secretive that no-one but us on pprune know about them.

They headhunt a select group of grade 3's at BK and put them through an intensive training course on Jet search and rescue techniques (not at liberty to say the type but lets just say that the Dreamliner is not as far away as some might think!)

I have contacts within this organisation, and with the right amount of BE76 time, I believe I can get you an interview. If BE76 time is a problem they will accept Aero guidance simulator time (but only if you had the turbulence switched on).

Contacting them is quite expensive though, as it can only be done by Sat phone. To cover my cost, I will need your bank account/ credit card details forwarded to my Nigerian email account (secrecy, you understand) and they will be in contact with you.

It is of the most importance that you do not speak to any of the secret Al Qaeda spies posing as members of the NSW Police Fraud squad as this may damage your ability to be selected for the Dreamliner (oopps, I let the cat out of the bag!) fleet.

The truth is out there..........Yon.

Dear Ando1Bar

I like the bit

5. Turn the propeller with your hands in the clockwise direction if you are facing the engine. Don't be scared to place your head near the propeller to hear what is going on.
6. If the propeller doesn't kick back try turning it in the opposite direction. Don't forget to place your head near the blade to hear what is going on.
7. Soon the propeller should start, and look - you didn't even have to turn the keys.
Ando1Bar - you are a god, was crying it was so funny

Yon, my Nigerian account was in this forum first - I suggest you leave. I do not wish to start a tribal war, enough blood has already been spilt.

Tinpis4, I've just been advised by a high ranking CASA official Microsoft Flight Simulator time now counts towards your log book as well. The conditions are:

1. It must be FS 2002 or later
2. All flights must be logged in your FS logbook as well as your 'actual' logbook
3. It doesn't all count as flight time, only 50% like co-pilot time.

I suggest you start using FS on the days you are not flying your Duchess. You cannot do this in place of my course, but the hours will definately give you the edge when applying for your airline job.

My friend at Air China is prepared to accept pilots for captain positions if they have at least 600 hours FS time (1200 total due to 50% rule). I recommend you send me your cheque ASAP because a few other people are interested in taking up my offer.

Gen. Alfred

Hi Ando1bar! and everyone else!

Just thought i would drop you a note that i have just deposited the $25000 into your account this morning for my 767 training. It shoudl clear within a couple of days, so when it does just drop us an email or something.

I told my instructors at my flying school about the 767 training overseas and everyone is very excited for me !!!!! It is great to hear that other people are interested in this program like tinpis 3 for example. It is great to see opportunities like this come up for new pilot's like us.

One last thing, Tinpis3, what is night rating, i haven't heard of this term before??? Is this something to do with rating what sort of a night it is, like a clear night, a cloudy night, a good night for star gazing????? I don't see how this will affect me flying a 767. I must be a bit out of the pprune loop, first i don't know what a windup is, (oh, and by the way, i tried that on my warrior the other day!!! gee what a fantastic trick! ) and now i don't know what night rating is. I don't see how astology has anything to do with flying a 767.

Thanks everyone and hope to see a few of you at 767 school, talk later!

PS. Guess what??? this week i am hoping on cracking the 200hour TT mark!!! depending on weather of course!!! WOW, i am soooo excited, with this many hours, my chief flying instuctor said that i am probably more suited for a 747 or A380 at least but i guess the 767 will have to do for now.....

Tinpis4,

I've checked my Swiss bank account this morning and the money has been deposited. I thank you for your support.

I am currently negotiating leases on a Metro II and an Antonov 225 based on turbolager's recommendations.

I am putting together the following program:
  • 10 hours dual revision in an Arrow (to see whether you can handle the twin commanche)
  • 5 hours dual training in the twin commanche to prepare you for the Metro
  • 5 hours dual training in general handling in the Metro II (you sound like a smart lad, you shouldn't need any more training than this)
  • 5 hours dual training in the Antonov 225
Following your 225 training I have a number of missions I need you to complete for me to increase your solo time. The details of this training will be available in the coming days - stay tuned.

Sorry to do this to you my friend, but I need a little more help. Are you able to wire another $25K to me to finalise the 225 lease? I'll have the money back to you within 3 weeks, I promise.

We also need to establish a training base somewhere. Any recommendations (I'm not too familiar with Australian airports)? Obviously we'll need a faily long runway, I've been recommended Camden. Will this cater for a An-225?

Kind regards,

Your friend

Tinpis4,

I have a new PPrune alias - GeneralAlfredHoziman. Please do not send any more PMs to Ando1Bar - he no longer wants to be part of our business venture. Seems like the poor boy got scared off by our enthusiam.

Ando1Bar, thank you for letting me use your login while I got my venture off the ground.

Regards,

Your friend,

Don't laugh lads
I was actually told something along these lines by an Archerfield based/Traumahawk flying flight school.

There should be a few second officer positions going, just ask the General! Your skills are fascinating and i am sure will definately come in handy!

Oh, and by the way General, that extra money that you requested should be no problem, just need about a week to access it then will once deposit it into your account!
