Is Frontier still hiring E3 visa pilots and/or sponsoring green cards?
T2, Apparently they are taking E3s but in pretty small numbers. See post # 3006 in this thread: https://www.pprune.org/australia-new...onals-151.html |

Delta mandatory age-65 pilot retirements. Looks pretty good. They've announced a reduction in hiring for 2024; only 80+/- per month:
https://skift.com/2023/12/30/delta-s...ring-for-2024/ Delta retirements as of Dec seniority list: 2024 - 508 2025 - 542 2026 - 521 2027 - 470 2028 - 483 2029 - 513 2030 - 556 2031 - 497 2032 - 478 2033 - 398 2034 - 390 2035 - 353 2036 - 377 2037 - 360 2038 - 374 2039 - 329 2040 - 405 2041 - 383 2042 - 443 2043 - 447 2044 - 531 2045 - 599 2046 - 594 2047 - 564 2048 - 597 2049 - 602 2050 - 506 2051 - 436 2052 - 475 2053 - 441 2054 - 396 2055 - 381 2056 - 298 2057 - 291 2058 - 273 2059 - 272 2060 - 197 2061 - 179 2062 - 149 2063 - 95 2064 - 36 2065 - 13 |
Interesting stats:
"Additionally, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines hired a combined 57% of all pilots in 2023." https://simpleflying.com/united-stat...-percent-2023/ |

Do you have an AA and UA list like that? Any inside details? ;)
If you mean a list of mandatory retirements, I'm afraid I don't. I just stumbled across the DL list. Not sure where to look for a current tally of AA or UA retirements. If I find any, I'll put them up here. It's not exactly what you're looking for but here's some hiring history. They seem to update this regularly: https://www.fapa.aero/pilot-hiring-history |

It seems that hiring these days is largely to replace the retirement numbers. |
737pg,
Yes, I get the impression the data from APC isn't undated very often and therefore might not be accurate. I did a search of the AA threads on APC looking for a recent set of data but came up empty (or just have poor search skills). |

Looks like Southwest is slowing down for the moment as well. Some new-hires had their classes pushed back, and upcoming interviews were canceled. Not sure yet when they'll resume.

Yes, apparently so. But judging from the number of calls my son gets for premium trips on his days off (sometimes several a day), they still need a lot more bodies. The frenetic pace of hiring in past years can't go on forever. But, cutting back to 1000/1100 a year is still pretty good; 2000/2200 a year is just nuts...but wonderful. :ok: |
