Things are escalating…

🇺🇦 South Korean media claimed on Monday that Seoul could send military and intelligence personnel to Ukraine after the North dispatched troops to support Russia in the war, - Newsweek

❗️The government and military of South Korea "are reviewing a plan to send an appropriate number of personnel, including intelligence officers [specialized in North Korea] and experts in enemy tactics," to Ukraine.

The defence pact (that Russia will aid NK in case of hot war, however I doubt the Kremlin midget will keep his pact, it is unrussian to keep promises).

Technology (nuclear, EW, AC etc)

Funds (rubles, potatoes and oranges recently traded from Pakistan)

Thanks @Beamr 😊 although it is a rhetorical question as I'm fully aware of the trade. Thanks though.

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis has suggested sending EU troops to Ukraine in light of North Korean soldiers joining Russian forces. He emphasized the need to revisit French President Macron's earlier proposal for troop deployment, which had been dismissed by Germany.

Landsbergis expressed frustration over Europe's passive response and urged for proactive steps to implement necessary actions against the increasing military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

Turkey has barred exports to Russia of US military-linked hardware after the US threatened “consequences.”

The move is a big blow to Russia, which has relied on Turkey as a sanctions lifeline. Turkey kept this quiet because of “political sensitivities.”

We have information about the preparation of two units of North Korean military - maybe even two brigades of 6,000 people each. And this is a challenge. But we know how to answer it. And it is important that our partners do not hide from this challenge." - Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening appeal.

We are not asking to be provided with or returned nuclear weapons. My position is very clear. We gave up our weapons but received nothing in return. All we got is a full-scale war and numerous casualties. Therefore, today we have only one way out - we need NATO, because we don't have the weapons capable of stopping Putin." - President Zelensky.

Apparently, Zelensky has had to sign a decree to liquidate false medical certificates to allow exemption for drafting into the war.
Looks like a very large number of people have been involved. Around the 5,000 mark.
Also, many doctors (reported to be about 60), involved in the scheme.

I understand that this sort of thing (unfortunately), does happen, but not a good look for the West, when it's (UKR), own people don't want to fight...

The picture of the FAB Glide-bomb shows some interesting engineering details. Not least, the bits that need to be precision engineered are, those that don't, aren't.

Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons on the assurance of the international community of support of their sovereignty. Specifically, the USA and UK entered into a signed undertaking to that end, as did Russia. Russia lied. Surprise. That doesn't give anyone else the right to walk away from their obligations. Russia did this due to the anemic response that arose to every other act of international aggression and crimes that they have perpetrated since 1991, when this latest abomination of the Russian dream came to pass, but back in 2014, no one cared enough to stop this gross breach by Russia, the invasion of Ukraine's internationally recognized territory and the murder of 298 other nationals in the shoot down of MH-17. The fact that it is inconvenient or expensive to support Ukraine is weighed against the breakdown of global security due to the confirmation that we are fair weather friends only, we honor our word only when it suits us, not when we have made commitments that are inconvenient.

The consequence of a failure to permit Ukraine to do the job for us, using Ukraininan courage and our munitions is a near certainty that this will blow up into something larger. Why would China consider the assurances of defense of Taiwan to hold any more water than the chicken wire sieve of support that Kiev gets from us? Why would Iran care what the rest of the world would do if they escalate Israel for whatever it is that they call what they are doing there?

Did we not learn anything about the sell out of defense by politicians that occurred in the Vietnam era?

Vladimir has elected to expand the direct support that his crime syndicate applies in his crime spree. What is our major malfunction?

We will pay the bill one way or the other, either while holding moral high ground or yet another entry in the hall o' shame. If we do not provide Ukraine the tools to do the task, the threat to the rest of the world will be vastly greater, and with an emboldened sociopathic cabal of leaders, Putin, Xi, lil fat' wun etc.

It is notable that the behavior that the world under the "unification" of the UN has less effectiveness than a kindergarten teachers efforts with 3-year olds.

Wiki estimates they only get approximately 15 to 25 hours per year flying, I wonder how that equates to them being combat ready, unless of course they are used to free up more experienced Russian pilots.

The number of annual flying hours (AFH) per pilot is, like almost every other aspect of the KPAF, very hard to estimate. Most sources on the subject abstain from giving hard numbers, but all of them estimate the average annual flying hours per pilot as being 'low' to 'very low'. The number of annual flying hours is very important in estimating the individual skill and experience of the pilots of an air force: more annual flying hours suggests better trained pilots. Most estimates present a rather grim picture: AFH per pilot for the KPAF are said to be only 15 or 25[32] hours per pilot each year - comparable to the flying hours of air forces in ex-Soviet countries in the early 1990s. In comparison, most NATO fighter pilots fly at least 150 hours a year. Ground training, both in classrooms, on instructional airframes or in a flight simulator can only substitute for 'the real thing' to a certain degree, and the low number of modern jet trainers in the KPAF arsenal points to a very modest amount of flying time for the formation of new pilots.

Why does this remind me of Nazi Germany sending fighter pilots to gain advance (pre WW2) experience in the Spanish Civil War?
