Gaza Air War
That particular "unsinkable" RAF facility (with it's USAF squatters) sticks out into the water like a sore thumb, so let's not pretend that it's long, pretty-but-craterable runway and associated assets sitting near it like ducks aren't being protected by expensive, fancy-pants air defence systems that most certainly include a bunch of boats tasked for the BMD/AAW role. I'm sure the USN would be thrilled if they could be relieved of patrols keeping safe those attractive, "unsinkable" targets that cruise 'round at the speed of whatever tectonic plate it happens to be sitting on. That's the Army's job.

Theater Ballistic Missiles are not a thing the Pongos or Grunts are going to handle, without their Air Defense batteries being equipped with fancy kit, which I think is the point Pukin Dog was making.
A follow up from the attempted TBM strike a few days ago: space intercept.

A follow up from the attempted TBM strike a few days ago: space intercept.
The Israel Defense (IDF) revealed last week that its Arrow missile defense system took down an 'aerial threat' allegedly fired by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. While details are sparse, the accepted boundary between Earth's atmosphere and space is 62 miles above the surface, known as the Kármán line. IDF said the Arrow intercepted a surface-to-surface missile in the Red Sea fired towards its territory after the rocket traveled nearly 1,000 miles from Yemen. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed it was the third attack the group had launched at Israel and vowed there would be more to come until 'Israeli aggression' stopped, referring to the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip
A quiet day in the region - Blinken flies from Cyprus to Iraq then onward to Turkey and there are now carrier air wings at either end of the Suez with air tanker support out of Crete. But why would USCENTCOM publish this:
Jordan's air force airdropped "urgent medical aid" to a Jordanian field hospital in Gaza the country's King Abdullah announced early Monday on X, formerly Twitter.. An Israeli official told Axios the Jordanian air drop was conducted in coordination with Israel's military. Jordan's military said in a statement that the medical supplies were dropped via parachutes from a Jordanian Air Force plane.
Good job, Turkish police.
Some light reading for those that are interested.

”A lesson of the Ukraine war is the amount of munitions you burn through. Think of a ludicrous number, double it, add a zero, and you’re still not there.” – official under Chatham House Rules
US MQ-9 Reaper downed near Yemen.
US reports are that in International Airspace, and was shot down by SA-6.
Yep, I realize Yemen not close to Gaza, but in the grand scheme of things...

Damascus International Airport's runway 05R/23L sporting several new craters after repeated Israeli airstrikes, as seen from Sentinel-2 earlier today.

JERUSALEM, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Israel's military said an organisation in Syria launched a drone that hit a school in the southern Israeli city of Eilat on Thursday and that it struck the group in response.
The military did not say what organisation in Syria had launched the drone toward Eilat, on the Red Sea approximately 400 kms (250 miles) from the nearest point in Syrian territory.
But it said in a statement it holds Syria's government fully responsible "for any terror activity emanating from its territory." There were no reports of injuries from the drone strike, which caused light damage.

Yet the aircraft parked on the adjacent ramp were left untouched.....seems a pity.

18 Israelis injured in Hezbollah missile strikes as border tensions grow
Eighteen Israelis have been injured, one critically, after the Iranian backed Hezbollah militia fired anti-tank missiles from southern Lebanon in a further sign that the skirmishes along the border are steadily escalating.…
The rightwing Israeli newspaper Maariv reported on Sunday that the IDF was preparing to deal a “strong blow” to Hezbollah in response to the escalation of its attacks. Israeli fire has killed at least 70 Hezbollah fighters since the start of hostilities.
An Israeli army spokesperson later said that a fighter jet and other aircraft attacked several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including “a military compound containing a warehouse of weapons and military infrastructure”.
Hezbollah’s chief, Hassan Nasrallah, said on Saturday that his group was using new weapons including attack drones “for the first time in the history of the resistance” in Lebanon.
Nasrallah’s speech prompted a warning from Israel’s defence minister, Yoav Gallant, who said Lebanese citizens would “pay the price” and added: “What we’re doing in Gaza, we can also do in Beirut.”…

Not strictly aviation but may be resonant with today's news:
My Military Law/ Geneva Convention detailed knowledge stops at 1918, the year when my library and interests stop.
However, changes since then seem superficial, and in those days having or bearing arms in a hospital [even temporary sanctuary such as a Nunnery] rendered the culprits fair game for summary execution, rather than regarded as surrendering, and thus P o W.
Not that Palestine is officially a war.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, swims like a duck, and flies like a duck, it's probably a duck.
