You fool, Dorfmann, I asked you to invent a uniform of invisibility, not an invisible uniform!

Ian Fleming's wartime experiences with special forces inspired the character "Pussy Galore".

A German Stosstruppe models the winter 1918 ready-to-surrender collection on the cat walk...

Sorry Hauptmann Schmidt, I thought "go commando" was an order, not an encouragement...

"'Sigh' - Unteroffizier Schwartz, I said I would see you ON night shift, not IN night shift..."

Christmas 1917, it's panto season, and Feldwebel Hartmann plays "Dick" in Puss in Boots.

Gefreiter Hartmann now starring in "Privates on Parade".

The addition of the invisible umbrella was the stroke of genius that Hans hoped would finally get him sent home from the front...

The original costume design for the scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz" was considered a little avant garde for 1939...

After Klaus failed to notice his greatcoat, trousers, jacket and rifle being stolen, he was surprised to be posted out of the Observer Corps, but determined to succeed in his new role, preventing stray animals fouling the latrines.
