It doesn't have to be HE to halt the enemy logistics.
very cheap and very efficient, doesn't harm civilians but makes life of the logistics very difficult, especially when new wheels and rims are hard to find.

What I would say to the 5000 is if you believe it would be better, go ask those who had the same ideals as you in Mariupol, Adviivka etc what they think now that they have lived under it and possibly been raped or killed as Russia does not appear to differentiate between either side, plus those in the Donetsk “military” are used as canon fodder to protect Russian lives.

Poland border woes.
On the border with Poland, all six directions are blocked, — said Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Service. The biggest queue on the border between Poland and Ukraine is observed in the direction of the checkpoints "Krakivets" and "Yahodyn". In total, there are 2,400 trucks in queues in all six directions.
Lithuanian customs informs that cars with russian license plates must leave Lithuania and the entire territory of the European Union by March 11, — Delfi.

The presumption is Italy will be offering the system to Ukraine, where it will be of use….
Italy plans to return SAMP/T air defense system from Slovakia, - Prime Minister Robert Fico
"The previous government gave Ukraine a functioning Russian S-300 air defense system. Then we had American Patriots here for a moment, but they left, and now the Italians will leave. And I ask, God, who will protect our nuclear power plants and other strategic targets?"
