There were two of them knocked out, one appears to have thrown a track.

They also took out an M1150

The Assault Breacher Vehicle or ‘ABV’ is (as of 2018) the United States’ latest Combat Engineering Vehicle or ‘CEV’. It is built on the hull of the US Military’s currently serving Main Battle Tank (MBT), the M1 Abrams. CEVs were a concept made famous by the British in the Second World War with the AVRE (Armored Vehicle Royal Engineers), and since then, similar vehicles have been a part of every major army. The ABV is the first of such vehicles to see service with the US military since the M60 based M728 CEV was retired from service in the mid-to-late 1990s, and this vehicle’s direct predecessor, the remotely operated M1 Abrams-based M1 Panther II, was retired from service in the late 2000s.

I absolutely don't understand why the Russians initially all group aroundthe BTR for cover: that's the aiming-point for the Bradley.

Germany to investigate Russia’s apparent interception of military talks on Ukraine
It shouldn't take them much time to investigate - unless they need time to concoct a less embarrassing explanation.. The following linked report says that requests for secure transmission links - even at the operational level - have been refused for decades and Web-Ex ( although known to be very weak in its security protocols ) has been frequently used by high-ranking military, feeling they had little option.

For far too long requests from the army to the Defnce Ministry to buy the necessary systems have been refused with comments such as " Just how do you expect to buy and pay for such equipment in peace-time " ? This striking episode about the hypothetical delivery of Taurus cruise-missiles to Ukraine is a painful example of how this policy has now backfired.

Probably because they have little training or discipline and don't know what else to do.

Latest package from sweden included “underwater weapons”, torpedo 47 from SAAB weights 340kg. USV would need some modifications, but probably doable with some Ukrainian ingenuity.”

I’m sure Humphrey Bogart could help here, they just need to resurrect the African Queen!

Because they only read and hear, and therefore believe, their leader's propaganda. The truth is dawning on them but only slowly.

Well the driver had little idea either, with shots raining down on you from the right of your vehicle, he should have sought to park on the left of the abandoned vehicle thus providing some protection to his vehicle and squad by putting a vehicle between himself and the Bradley's fire.
